A little bit of “clapping coach” content here. If I’m a Longhorn (well, I guess I am, actually), this sounds a little like latter day Mack Brown. All that’s missing is the vote of confidence from the AD.

Yeah I got the late tenure mack brown vibes there as well.

I don't worry about t-shirt fans and people that don't know ball yet show up in burnt orange once a week for the social outing. Those people and the media (who was even more nauseating this offseason about Texas due to Manning) do not constitute a true fan.

What I am saying is a true fan of the sport and Texas knows how hard it is to win a Heisman and win a natty and making that the expectation given the talent replacement and Manning as a relative unknown (3 games started) that both those were in the bag is silly.
My point is the Texas fans on here your read pumping their chest and media pre-season doing the same for clicks and Ad space pre-season is not the same as a "true fan"

How do you think our BMD's feel after hearing that, and after pouring millions into this fricking program?

I think the bigger question is, when do they stop funding NIL for a guy who seems to be incapable of winning at the highest level.

As long as they are buying players, he can win a lot of games Just not against elite teams-but there aren't many of them out there.

At some point they are going to wonder what exactly are they buying? 8-10 wins a year vs the poors won't cut it.

As much as I think sark is a fraud, I do think there's one move that could save him. Hire an OC and step back and manage the team like Mack did. Short of that, I just don't see him working.

If we had aggy’s record, College Station would not be on my mind. I’m surprised you care so much about us.

Preseason #1 media darlings and Arch Warby Parker commercials 24/7 might have something to do with it.

Texas sounds more and more aggy everyday. It’s gotta be frustrating to be a longhorn fan this year.

I’m glad you can relate. I picked the perfect year to be busy every Saturday. Watching the games on DVR while knowing the outcome has really been helpful. I couldn’t make it to the end while watching the Florida game.

Yep. We get lots of undeserved attention and high rankings. I’d prefer not to have all the attention, but appreciate it when it benefits us. Years like this make it tough but I’d prefer to have it than not have it.

That is the one thing that I dread about Texas going into the tank...

We are going to start hearing the Whornies blaming it on "juice boxes" and "Austin and UT are too woke" and "There are too many distractions in Austin" and "Austin is too great a party town"....

We heard variations of that stuff for well over a decade.

The ex UT scrub DB Cody Danaher over on OB used to constantly whine about how iit was "the woke" stuff that was killing the program....

That's like telling me to hire an operations manager and step back and be the CEO.

I don't want to. I can't. I'm not CEO material, nor do I want to be.

Sark can't carry Mack Brown's underwear in that arena.

That's why I can't do that. If we win - there's a 50% chance that I will fast-forward between plays. If we lose - I ain't watching shite.

No can do.

I hear ya. Knowing we lost allowed me to focus on what went wrong and then eventually turn it off bc I felt we deserved to lose.

As nauseating as the Manning hype was, a lot of it was created by the same people who post 10 threads a day complaining about arch manning hype. He didn't ask for any of it yet people hate him because the media, and they, themselves, created it.

I'm rooting for him to shut them up whether that be here or somewhere else.

I rewatched in slower motion and focused on the OL. WOW, are they BAD !!
Been watching Texas Football since 1960 and never on either side of the ball seen such frauds. This is a 6-6 or maybe 7-5 year and still after 4 days cannot get over how bad the OL is. If for no other reason Flood should be fired for recommending them for scholarships. No one will know after this year how good or bad Arch is because of that cluster F******.

well the entire fanbase was screaming for sark to find some in the portal and he was happy with what he had. He's got to live with that decision now. He's going to progressively hate post game press conferences more and more this season because of them.

What arch going through reminds me a lot of what Troy Aikman went through his first season in Dallas. He got the shite beat out of him because that OL was so bad.
and no, I'm not comparing Arch to Aikman.

100% agree. the kid appears to be a good person and just wants to play ball. He got beat up against FL and didnt fold and kept fighting.

The fans who post 10 times a day but have unrealistic expectations caused this as well, I 100 agree with you there.

Will be interesting to see where Arch is next year.
