Folks, there is no way this impacts the end of this season. Auburn is going to continue playing Newton, so they are going to win the last two games and go to the SECCG. No investigation will be NEAR complete by then, and there would still be the issue of hearings, penalty meetings, a revealation of the penalties, Auburn's appeal, etc before any games could conceivably be vacated.
Auburn is going to the SECCG, and probably on to play for the NC...

I think you are likely to be correct. But if in the end Auburn is found guilty, it will have been a shame for the effect on LSU, Arkansas and Mississippi State. I would hope, if the charges are substantiated (and I actually would rather that they not be true), that there would be no mercy for Auburn short of the out and out death penalty ( and the no death penalty is not for Auburn's sake as much the the conference's sake).

If this is indeed how it plays out and LSU wins out, just imagine the hate LSU fans will forever have toward Auburn.

No way the SEC and Auburn have sat on this and played Newton if this is true. I don't buy it.
I buy it because you wouldn't have won a SEC game without him.

There will not be a money trail because churches can get away with little or no record keeping. Also no one should gloat about this. It hurts the whole SEC.
why not? do you think his father would carry $200,000 in cash around his house? of course he will put it in the bank

I don't think so. I think the money men who put it together for him would advise against that, and maybe even suggest some avenues for hiding it.
Even in the Means case, I don't think they ever conclusively showed that the money came from Logan Young, and the evidence Lang received it was large cash purchases.

No tapes of the conversations? Without documentation, this is more he said/she said?
Two recruiters for Ms State? Only coaches can "recruit" for colleges right? Which Ms State coaches was it then? If it wasn't coaches, isn't Ms State in some trouble here?

Three days before all this Cam thing started my mom(big bama fan)called me and asked if I had heard anything about it. She knows I keep up on sports news. Told her I had not seen anything on it and asked her how she heard it said her cousion told her and I asked how she knew about it said her daughter works in Sabans office and told her. I have always known she knew someone that works in Sabans office.

Miss State will not be punish for this, I don't think they would try to give out evidences that will hurt them

If they had people other than coaches out recruiting for them, they will be in trouble.

Then it must be coaches making the allegations.

Exactly. So why is John Bond and Kenny Rogers the two Ms State alums on the record as having been involved in the recruiting process?

Absolutely the NCAA wont finish its investigation this season. But that doesnt necessarily mean Auburn will let him play if they think or know they will have to vacate more wins, because they think or know he will be declared ineligible. Also the NCAA(and maybe the SEC?) can still rule him ineligible before they finish the entire investigation.

HA!!! Where are all the barners now with their conspiracy theories and witch hunts??
Posted on 11/10/10 at 9:54 am to bradwieser
Consider this...
The NCAA moves so slow you wonder if this could be done before SEC champ, probably not. However, if Auburn goes on to win SEC, then beat TCU or Oregon in BCS, then what a mess!! So they blow out TCU 35-10 and then NCAA says later in July 2011, "whoops, we're sorry AU QB is ineligible so we're sorry that Oregon or TCU team that got the mess beat out of them are National Champs now. I mean do you even hold a victory parade for that (if you're a TCU fan)!! What a mess they got to handle this fast. Call in the feds, too much money involved.
