Partially true. The warrant was initially written as a no-knock and changed shortly before they entered the apartment. Only one witness of several claims the police announced, so if it was no longer a no-knock they were in violation if they didn't announce.

You shouldn't try to spout "facts" about this case if you can't get straight that the man in the picture and who discharged his weapon in the apartment is not the drug-dealing ex boyfriend (Glover). Her current boyfriend at the time of the shooting (Walker) was NOT a felon and was within his legal right to carry one. He also had charges dropped because he did not hear the police announce and thought it was someone breaking in. That's textbook Castle Doctrine and within his rights.

ETA: Also, Officer Joshua Jaynes lied about seeing Glover pick up a package at her apartment on the warrant, which is what led to her being added to the warrant for Glover and some of his associates. Joshua Jaynes was fired this week due to that lie. He doesn't lie, they're not even at her house serving that warrant.
This was gross negligence on the part of LMPD and sadly will never be appropriately addressed.
