Just because they beat Texas doesn't mean they're good. Florida almost beat Tennessee. Arky beat Tennessee. Vandy beat Bama. Games like that happen all the time.

you end up with both being 10-2, I don't understand how ESPN says UGA gets a 99% chance to be in an Ole Miss is in the 80s.
Uga would likely have more quality wins and would not have a loss to a terrible UK team. Everyone seems to understand this but a few of you.

What does that say about Texas then?

Texas played a bad game.

Let’s try again. What does that say about Texas’ whole season as a team?

If true, what justification is there to rank Texas highly?

Imagine a world where Bama and UGA with their brands went independent in football, scheduled nonsense teams all year, save a good opener and decent closer.
CFP lock every year and keeps all the monies.... hmmm
If SoS doesn't matter, what are we doing. Best teams? It's a joke.
Top 12 in, no auto-qualifiers. Add computers back to a weighted portion of the rankings.
Don't threaten me with a good time.

Eye test, and being 8-1. The committee just thinks were better. They realize Texas had a bad game against UGA, that's why there is a 10 spot ranking difference between the 2 teams.

Just evidence of an incompetent committee imo.

I obviously don't want GA to make the playoff but if they beat TN their overall resume is better than Ole Miss and Bama this year.

Idk, they probably see UGA barely beating teams that good teams would blow out. They saw Bama get up 28-0 and take their foot off the gas. They definitely see that your quarterback is an interception machine and your offense looks like it should be playing in the MAC.

UGA goes 10-2 is a lock with #1 SOS.

You have to admit TX would be like #13 now with that schedule and without the TX name and SEC attached to them.

Penn State and Oregon have weaker SOS's yet they're ranked top 5 just like Texas.
