It's pretty ridiculous considering they struggled with a mid-level MAC team.
UGA's D could have done the same against Central Michigan but they didn't.

ESPN has too much hype invested in the OSU USC game, they have to keep the machine rolling until the Trojans embarass them in LA.

The USC beatdown will be ugly with or without Wells. Todd Boeckman is garbage, good luck.

Laugh it up, fuzzball.

This time next week we can have a conversation about which of us sucks more. I look forward to it.

But in all seriousness, everyone is expecting Southern Cal to roll OSU. I could see it, but if the Buckeyes get it together, who knows. It could be alot closer than people expect.

I say let them be overhyped. It just means that the SEC champ will have another chump OSU team to skool in the NC game

I actually believe OSU will win. I only barely think that, though, and if I wasn't a fan, I'd probably think USC would win by around 2 TDs. However, Virginia looked like absolute crap today against freaking Richmond, so I don't know if USC's win against them looks as good now.

Also, with Ohio today, I just think the Bucks played like absolute crap. No Beanie played a little of a factor, but I think mostly it was a lack of focus, maybe looking ahead a little. Just a lot of stupid mistakes. Dropped passes, bad penalties, etc. Ohio really only had one good offensive drive, on which they converted three 3rd and longs, before scoring. Their other TD came as a result of Boeckman dropping a snap and the Bobcats recovering in the endzone. This was also a HUGE game for Ohio. I believe they had 15 players just from Franklin County alone (OSU's backyard) that weren't recruited by the Bucks, not to mention numerous other players from around Ohio. Think they weren't a bit motivated to prove OSU made a mistake not recruiting them? Basically the perfect storm.

Expect OSU to be much better next week. Will it be enough to win? I don't know. But I'll be shocked if we play that poorly again.

After next weekend it is not going to matter what kind of excuse they make for OSU because they are going to have the field mopped up with their arse.

Even good teams play lousy. USC can play lights out and just annihilate a team and then turn around and lose to a 41 point dog in their own stadium.

Like you, I am not sold on USC based solely over their shellacking of a bad, bad UVA team. Nor am I completely ready to rule the Buckeyes out based on a poor showing against Ohio. It's college football. It happens.

Here's another angle ... for the Love Fest

When OSU loses, they'll say Beanie wasn't 100% and they'll get a pass from taking a huge drop

That way they can still have OSU in the BCS Bowl game at the end ... I think Illinois is gonna kick their arse this year also, and maybe Wisconsin with a break or two

Haha I have never seen such love for USC on TD before! Then again, this is probably just hate for OSU... I personally want this game to be postponed indefinitely because I dont want excuses for OSU if they lose, and soooooooo much dick loving for USC if they win.

I agree that OSU should drop in the polls this week. They did barely beat Ohio off of a bad no-call on the punt return and an unlucky fumble recovery with their first teamers out there. UGA didnt play the first team when they got scored on last week, so therefore i dont see how OSU wouldnt drop. HOWEVER, these polls dont mean anything right now, BUT its the principle behind them that people get fired up about.

I agree drop OSU to 8......we deserve it

You'll get no argument from me today, with the way we played in our own house against crappy competition. We play like that next week and it'll be something like 45-3

I'm so tired of hearing about UGA dropping. who the f cares 2 weeks into the year? I honestly think OSU should drop to like 8 after this week, but would that matter if they beat USC next week?

Ask Auburn 2004 who couldn't jump either $C or Oklahoma, even though Auburn only had one close game (against the defending NC LSU) but $C and Oklahoma had several close games.

It is certainly fashionable to bash tOSU and the Big 10+1 these days. They deserve it.

However, w/ the exception of a few teams like LSU, most of us would gladly swap our talent for theirs. I know I would. Now, I wouldn't trade Petrino for tOSU's coach, though. It'd be fun to see what Petrino could do w/ tOSU's talent.

You may re-start the bashing again...

This post is right on target. Georgia drops due to ESPN like bias.

USC is over rated right from the get go for beating a team that resembled Western Carolina. Why did LSU ever drop Pacific? OSU returns 17 people on a team that looked like a lower tier SEC team after the BCS. Yet they receive a high ranking for returning these over rated starters.

The OSU game next week will probably be a 2 touchdown loss to USC, which will be just enough to let the pundits say OSU hung tough and only deserves dropping 3 or 4 spots. Leaving open OSU's return to another BCS drumming in the title game. Don't worry about USC, the dynasty with 1 BCS championship under their belt will lose 1 or 2 games to their regular inferior conference foes. With 1 loss it will be the all world rematch between OSU & USC in the BCS.

And yes, someone in the SEC will get screwed.
