re: with the Saints out of the picture...

Atlanta. I want the saints to finish at the bottom of the division, so the usual trend of the last team placing first the next season to continue.

Then the Dolphins.

Not AZ because I dont want Warner getting MVP.
Minus the injuries, a few bad calls, and some bad luck, we are 10-3 right now. I would see 10-6 as a success as well. For as many injuries we have had this season and just straight up bad luck (and shitty kicker early in the year), that is pretty good. We are literally a good FS and a new DC away from having a respectable defense, and a LT away from a decent OLine to go with our #1 offense...

Feet, Yes.
I went to FHS when he was there and he was a fricking monster on the football field. He got injured here at LSU and never really recovered from that and from what Ive heard, he was a Saban guy, not so much a Miles guy.

Big 12:
Stoops cant win the big game.
Mangino hasnt seen his dick since 2nd grade.
Mack Brown is decent.
Pelini is a badass D-coordinator, but no head coach.
Pinkel apparently doesnt know there is such thing as defense.
Mike Leach has downs syndrome and apparently cant change facial expressions to save his life.
Mike Gundy IS A MAN!

SEC:
Les Miles - 2007 national champions, 2007 SEC champions
Steve Spurrier - 1996 national champions, 1990, 1991, 1994-1996, 2005 SEC Coach of the Year, Heisman winner in 1966, 1991, 1993-1996, 2000 SEC Championships, Heisman winning QB 1996
Tommy Tuberville - 2004 SEC Champions, undefeated 13-0
Urban Meyer - 2006 National champions, 2006, 2008 SEC champions, Heisman winning QB 2007, Lead Utah to 12-0 in 2004
Phil Fulmer - 1997-1998 SEC Champions, 1998 National Champions
Nick Saban - 2003 National Champion HC at LSU

re: Could trading Bush help this team?

Posted by GeauxD on 12/9/08 at 2:53 am
HELLLL NO we dont need to get rid of Bush. If he wants to leave, then all the best to him, but he is too fricking valuable to our team to get rid of him. He requires attention every time he gets the ball (besides running between the tackles) and is a gamechanger. We HAVE the RB here, Pierre, and its up to Payton to get him more involved. This years draft is loaded with LT's and that is where our first rounder should go. That would solve the LT position, and move Brown over to where he is best, RT. The only other major need is a FS. The pieces are here, and we do NOT need to get rid of Bush for more draft picks. Bush's inside running will get better with a better run blocking OLine that doesnt stop blocking after maybe a half a second because they think Bush is past them. Our offense is pretty damn good right now, and shoring up that line will make it such a better running team if Payton calls the right plays.

I know I got off topic a little, but NO we should NOT trade Bush.
Saints - 21
Bears - 17

Should be a great game! We NEED to run the ball to open up that play action, ohh and the wheel route to reggie again anyone?!? Note to Reggie... Dont point at Urlacher again. We dont want him to try and kill you or knock off Brees' head kthx

re: Roby to IR

Damn we are cursed this season with the injuries. I liked what I saw of him. He looked eerily similar to Bush when they zoomed in on him and I thought it was reggie, but then I saw the guns, and they were about half as big. Id think PT would take them. Not Bush, we dont want him to be in even more risk of getting injured on the most violent play in football. On kickoffs you have 11 guys running full speed at your legs, while on punts you only have about 2 or 3 comin at you. Maybe Henderson? Lance? PT? What about the dude Lynell Hamilton that we had on the practice squad last time I checked. He was pretty freakin quick when I saw him in preseason. We just need someone to pick up a few yards, not be a homerun threat.

Its over, we got the W, thats all that matters. Sweet dance though
Yeah, really? Are coaches supposed to well known and talked about when they are in 3rd grade, so that way when they are ready to move to a big school to coach, they wont be in obscurity? Thats retarded. Every coach gets their start somewhere...

Yet, if you are used to it like Chicago players are, it makes it so much easier.

FWIW, Bamer losing to UF is MUCH MUCH MUCH more respectable than the allmight condoms losing to OSU... Just sayin...
frick the BCS.

Bring on the playoff system. Now.

Hook em

GT - 42
LSU - 31

I hope to God this isnt the score, but damn we are in over our heads if we cant shore up our D in the time we have. If we still had Mr. Pelini this would be a no brainer...

And here lies the problem...
Ehh dont look too far into this or get too worked up about it, because this season is already messed up. Even IF the saints get everyone they need to lose to lose, in the end its still the Saints that have to win, and I dont think anyone can realistically think the Saints can win out. I hope so, but its still the Saints.

This season was fricked from the beginning. If we would have gotten those little breaks vs Denver, Washington, and Minnesota we would also be 9-3 and in pretty good position.

It would show just how much superior we are to all the other conferences even the Big 12

Or it would just show how our top 2 are better than their top 2, yet their conference has more quality teams than the SEC this year, not to mention the best college QB's, and numerous heisman candidates.

This year I thought the Big XII > SEC in the overall quality of all the teams in the league.

There you go. Every now and then it feels good to just let it out. and then put a new one back in.
