I have seen people argue over this topic for hours on this very site.

People regurgitating the same tired arguments over and over isn't really an hours-long debate.

It's a 30 second debate that occurs 34,000 times.

I'm just fricking with you, though. It actually would make a decent 30 for 30.

Alabama: How to kill a program in 10 years.

1997-2006: Gene Stallings retires, Mike Dubose secretary scandal, the 3-8 season after a preseason #3 ranking, the Albert Means scandal, sanctions, Dennis Franchione, Mike Price scandal, Mike Shula, then Saban is hired.

"A Date with Destiny: The Mike Price Story"

What if told you a coach could bring one historically awful program to greatness, then take over one of the greatest programs in college football history, only to have it all come crashing down around him without even coaching a game.

ETA: Took way too long to type that, several posts between when I started writing and when I actually posted, but I'll leave it here anyways

What if I told you that a football prodigy wanted to attend a humble MS college and take them to the MNC but was sideswiped by a greedy father. And what if I told you that Awbrin University got into the church building business and the materials were laundered through their biggest booster. 30 for 30 presents " Yellow Wood - How Yellafella built a church and won the MNC"

Just not relevant enough.

That's the problem I'm having with LSU. I want to say LSU baseball dynasty of the 90's or more particularly 1997, and Gorilla Ball
Maybe the 1986 Final Four run to become the first 11 seed, but I still don't think it would relevant enough. If they want to do one on an 11 seed making the Final Four George Mason or VCU would be better stories simply because they are viewed as the little guys.
It's not SEC or within the ESPN era, but I would like to see one done on the 1972 US olympic basketball team and the controversy surrounding it.

I'd make a 30 for 30 documentary on the 1966 Alabama team and how they got screwed out of a three-peat.

I read the book "The Missing Ring". Nothing but Bama SID propaganda. There was no three peat.
