I was surprised that the ESPN talking heads were so unequivocally in support of Sumlin

Essentially ESPN usually exhibits a rascist narrative - always in support of extreme left wing issues. In that vein, their condemnation of a great institution(Texas A&M) who has exhibited more than its fair share of patience in retaining a coach(Sumlin) who has underachieved for years and had their program managed to allow more than their fair share of thugs is misplaced; ESPN's opinion is unwarranted and unappreciated.

The letter in question is not representative of Aggie fan opinions, is most certainly an outlier-far from the middle of the Bell Curve-and much too much has already been made of it. It simply illustrates people's desire not to lose. For example, if Saban was losing as often as Sumlin had, he would have already been fired and called a 'Mountain Hillbilly' from W. VA,; if Orgeron flops, he'll be called a "Coonass" from the bayou and sent to mend his shrimp nets.

If any of them win, they'll be called God. So everybody (ESPN) needs to shut up!

If ESPN had their way:

-Colin Kaepernick would start for the Patriots over Brady.

-Mike Nifong would still be the DA of Durham county and those boys would still be in jail.

-Les Miles would still be the head coach at LSU.

-The Longhorn Network would be allowed to broadcast high school content as they saw fit

-Hilary Clinton would be President

If the police find that the Sumlin household sent the letter will it be made known?

The only way to truly cover something up is to not have any metadata on it in any digital platform. That means hand carrying paper notes, dead drops, etc.

ESPN is the epitome of hypocritical coach apologists. For fricking years, every god-damned time they got the chance they would laugh their asses off at Les Miles' stupid coaching, but they would say any LSU fan who wanted him fired was a lunatic. They do that with every coach who is struggling. They spend all week talking about how bad the coach sucks, then act like any fan who wants him fired is an idiot.

They're just like the fans on this board. For years, we heard about what a shitty coach Les Miles was, but the minute we start to fire him, we're insane. The truth is that ESPN, just like the fans here, just want entertainment and don't give a shite, much less know shite, about whether a coach is good. Miles was good TV, so they wanted him. Sumlin is good TV, so they want him. LSU or Texas A&M can go to fricking hell as far as they're concerned.

This is what bugs me.

Sumlin is doing a shitty job as the coach.

Letter schmetter --- he will get shitcanned if this performance continues.

And will make out like a bandit due to his contract.

I thought it was the Aggie players that were the pimps in this drama.

Why does everyone keep assuming a racist fan would have to be a man?

It is like if I say a fan got into a fight at the game, everyone assumes it is a man.

Everything about the letter reeks of a hoax.

The hand writing. The phrasing. The return address.

Very poorly thought out on their part.
