Are you barners still trying to spin the FACTS? Ya'll are fricked. NCAA gonna burn the program down.

I posted this in the Auburn Board thread:
UNREAL.
quote:Am I the only one who finds it amazing how much something blows up when it's about Auburn? People have tried to run the University's name through the mud (and have probably succeeded) for years now, yet they still can't get enough. Nothing with the T-Town's Menswear or Alabama Deer Antler Spray got this much publicity (not saying Alabama should be in trouble for any of it, FWIW). Miami's potential probation, and how the NCAA fricked up the investigation, isn't even getting this much publicity.
I can't believe how much something gets blown out of proportion as soon as something negative happens at Auburn. Hell, it's about to be on Outside The Lines in a couple minutes. And these are fricking allegations! The stupid Hillary Clinton look-a-like count doesn't even have evidence of anything she's saying.
She doesn't have tapes.
There's no money trail.
There's no proof of grade changing.
She's listening to a fricking convict.
Former Auburn players have debunked the rumors and said she twisted their words and made up other parts.
But, yeah, I'm big, bad ESPN - I'm going to run this story every chance I get. I'm even going to run it more than any time with the whole Miami University fiasco.
UNREAL.

can you burn what has already been burnt?

1. You don't know if she does or doesn't have tapes. I think she does.
2. McNeil is innocent until a judge and jury prove him guilty.
3. Relax. This is the SEC. shite isn't going to happen on Big Mike S's watch. She receives a bribe, and we all argue till fall on wether or not there was anything to the story whatsoever. Then some fool during FB season will bring it back up out of nowhere, and the next 3 pages will be trolls, and auburn fans foolish enough to take the bait.
We've been down this road many times. Relax, and enjoy the ride.

Hmm, I wonder why.

You and other Auburn fans, probably. It's call confirmation bias. You see it blowing up more because you believe it blows up more.

or Alabama Deer Antler Spray got this much publicity
It was on ESPN, Deadspin, multiple newspapers, radio show, etc. I don't know how much MORE it could have blown up until people realized that it was snake oil and not illegal.

So basically his opinion is this article can be written about any other college and be true.

We still have Mark on our side
A brief recap: NCAA spokesman will not comment on Auburn allegations. Hour later, Mark Emmert decides to comment, brush aside report.
Emmert asked if he's concerned a "newspaper story" knows more about Auburn than the NCAA. He laughed, then got defensive.
Emmert on Auburn: "We have a higher responsibility when we’re saying someone has committed an offense than reading a newspaper story."
NCAA president Mark Emmert asked in Atlanta about Selena Roberts' #Auburn story: "What that is is a newspaper story. That's it

Just a quick pop in question. If I happened to know someone in the auburn administration who mentioned something to me while I went home this easter would this be the thread to diseminate the information in? What if the information I got directly named and incriminated several athletes, administration officials, and booster within the university?
