The thing I can't believe is she is an Auburn Grad. No loyalty what so ever

But, there seems to be some fire and with ESPN leading the charge, I bet there is an investigation.

Everything in that article is 100% plausible AND coming from former Auburn players
There will be an investigation.

it's been this way for a long time... this isn't the first article she's written to slam Auburn. She definitely has an axe to grind.

There's little doubt in my mind they players actually said these words... but they did so under the impression they were helping their friend/teammate who is going to prison. Roberts approached in that way, no doubt.

isnt Selena Roberts the writer who wrote scathing articles covering the Duke Lacross fiasco, then was fired by the NY Times for same? why would people bother reading her POS blog?

if you can call it that... this will go down just like the HBO deal from a few months ago... the players either won't talk to the NCAA or they'll deny the allegations. The only one left to talk will be the one sitting in prison for armed robbery. After nevin shapiro, there's no way the NCAA will take a convicted felon's testimony, IMO.

Players are disputing their quotes. The writer is shite, been known for bad journalism in the past. This is more of a testament to the power of ESPN and exactly why they don't need that power.
ESPN 'reblogs' her story and all of a sudden it's ATPB again..same thing with the Rice story. It was a non-issue until ESPN picked it up, now the guy is gone. ESPN has too much power and all the sidewalk fans of the world give it to them.

She's also the writer who wrote back in 2005 intimating that Auburn's team chaplain was paying players. Which has never been proven either.

As I understand it, writer posts a story to an obscure website, ESPN then (instead of doing their own work) reports the story that a writer posted this story to the other website and all hell breaks loose. Several of the players "quoted" in the original story have denied their quotes as they were presented in the original story. I have read the original story and it is a hit piece that tries to implicate without any or many facts that the coaches tried to cover up the felony 4, that the coaches run the police department, that Muschamp gave McNeil $400, that coaches offered Darvin Adams money to stay and that coaches got grades changed prior to the BCS championship game. All, some or none of it may be true, but the evidence is lacking at the moment.
Sounds like a good assessment to me. This will be forgotten soon.

I think NGT is onto something though. It might not be a bad thing. It does bring out the boards lesser posters who just want to believe (cue x files theme)
