We're trying to get Tulane on the schedule so we can get a night game like Auburn. No dice so far.

I'm slow.

The written complaint from Bama was that they have more daytime nonconference home games than anyone else in the SEC.

The obvious solution to that problem would be to schedule more nonconference road games. Try 3 OOC home and homes in the same season. Hell... having 2 would be an improvement (or going back to 2014... having 1 home and home be an improvement).

Instead of bitching to the SEC and media... show your AD and president a mirror.

A very divisive topic.

The Alabana faithful seem to agree with the AD and Presidents decision to complain about the weather.

Everyone else seems to think it is whining and they should just deal with the heat.

No matter what side you’re on - stay hydrated out there!

We've already started doing that and are trying desperately to continue to do that by adding a second P5 team to future schedules.

You guys have a built in 2nd tier, good but not great #2 P5 game locked into your schedule, so you can pursue the big OOC game (Notre Dame, Texas, UCLA, FSU). We have to try and convince Purdue or Iowa State or Maryland or Illinois or Baylor to be our #2 OOC game every year. In a shocking development, they have no desire to do that. Tech can't run away from you - it's a PERFECT #2 P5 game. A decent program that is usually good, a P5 team, but not a real threat most or any years. If they aren't your rival those teams have absolutely zero desire to sign up for pain and suffering for 2 year just so they might get a decent payday and a 52-10 loss at home in September.

So, it's pretty easy for Georgia to wag their finger about playing 2 P5 games when you have a middling Georgia Tech built in as a stopgap game and don't have to try and beat the bushes to convince a 5 Tech-like programs to sign up for home and homes over a decade. Trust me, I think we'd be more than happy to have Tech as our second P5 game every year.

That's how you end up playing a 2 for 1 with South Florida.

We'll also keep playing 2-3 bad OOC games a year like everyone else in the league probably.

I agree. Your future scheduling is finally heading the right direction for your fans.

The irony is that home and homes is the real reason why Bama "has been treated differently". It isnt a good look for the AD to be publicly complaining about something that is his and Sabans direct fault (failure to schedule home and homes).

And before you take the copout about our perfect setup with GT... we will have played 3 OOC home and homes in the same season multiple times before you ever get to 2.

Maybe olay nine conference games like everyone else does

That’s the reason why you can’t get two power five games. Because almost everyone else has only three non conference games

I have no sympathy for any of this. Obviously (you can tell). This is what the sec wants so quit the central Florida style of whining about everything under the sun and deal with it

I mean who seriously want s to listen to Alabama complain about college football. My god

You’re right it’s not about opponent quality its about fan quality and Bama’s fans don’t actually watch the games. Sorry the networks don’t give you the same treatment you get from the SEC office.

You did it 1 time since the schedule went to 12 games (18 seasons).

So, again, Georgia has a perfect #2 OOC H/H game in Georgia Tech. It's basically exactly what any big program would want in a #2 OOC game, but it's incredibly hard to get because those teams are generally unsure what kind of season they will have and they have ZERO desire to schedule an elite team and get an automatic loss that screws up their chance at 7-8 wins.

Scheduling H/Hs with Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Texas, etc at this point is not difficult - we all see the same future in terms of fans wanting those matchups and the way it will play in the playoffs. It's the 2nd tier games that are difficult to get.

And like I said, that's how you end up having to do things like play South Florida in a 2 for 1.

You do know that we already have it 2 more times on the future schedules (thus the multiple times before you get 2 home and homes on the same season)
