WTH are my 49ers doing. We trade up to get him? I mean he is good but come on.

That was a reach, but I'm not surprised.

I was right that he would be a first rounder.

Just think we couldve waited. No need to trade up to get him.

Reid was a hell of a college safety, but with these NFL targeting rules, the need for a hard hitting safety is going away. Coverage ability is needed way more. This pick does not make much sense to me either, especially trading up for it. He would have been a top 10 lock 7 years ago.

New England might have been eyeing him.

He's more of a cover guy believe or not. Played nickel and dime his freshman year. Although I enjoyed him discipling Victor Ballard.

Id rather have Vacarro for San Francisco. We dont need hard hitting safties. We got killed with Gholston and Whitner. We need guys that can cover. Wouldve like them to wait on Elam.

I really like Reid. One of my favorite non-Bama players. Nose for the ball and will part your eyes. Natural instincts and nasty as hell.
