He's more of a cover guy believe or not.

He was solid in coverage in college, but I'm not sure he will be in the NFL. He will certainly be a stud in run defense.

My Bama friends who saw him this year should know that he had a pretty serious sternum injury that affected his game. I'd be willing to bet he's an impact player especially with the other pieces on that D.

Seriously, though, he's the most instinctive Safety I've ever seen. Reason he had a bad year is: we lost our two best DBs.

They said he ran a 4.4 so maybe he can play the coverage safety that we need. I mean we didnt give up much. If we had a coverage safety and needed a hard hitting run stopping safety i would be happy as frick but thats not what we need. Hope you LSU fans are right about him.

The flame isn't that effective because he keeps saying he's a hard hitter.

He plays the game with a lot of emotion which is something i value highly. You can teach a guy the technique but you can't teach Reid's physical gifts or his passion for the game. Can't wait to see him in red and gold

He plays well in the box, something SF asks their safeties to do a lot

That kid is a general back at the safety spot ... its a hell of a pick for SF

I agree. Reid had an off year last year, but he was also kind of picking up slack of younger guys a lot, much like Mark Barron in 2010.

He has the measurables, can make plays and isnt afraid to hit. I think that it is a solid pick.
