Can someone give us some examples of stuff that makes you laugh or is creative? Nothing I've seen here meets either criterion.

When Norris Coleman played for KState, they discovered his GPA was 1.34. The following cheer occurred in call-response.

I don't know but it's been said
Norris Coleman's brain is dead
I don't know but I've been told
He reads like a 3 year old.

Sam Hill played for Iowa State and had huge ears. Huge. They yelled "where in the Sam Hill did you get those ears?" All game. Many of them had fake large ears on, IIRC.

My thoughts exactly, Bogie. The walking poster child for grumpy old man calling anyone classless is just not even worthy of response.

Fair enough. Those are amusing and reasonably clever. They really do need to weed out the members coming up with the other stuff, because it's not just offensive on a moral level, it's offensive on a comedic one. Bad comedians who confuse "shock" with "snark" need to get real jobs and stop imposing their "comedy" on the rest of us.

Duke needs to do that too, btw.

Adding to the depth of research they had done - regarding the fact they made this a military chant/sound off, Norris Coleman's nickname at KSU was "Sarge" as he was an older player who I believe had a stint in the military before enrolling at KSU, he was like 25 or so when he was senior. It was completely tailored toward that individual player in every way.

One would think with all the social media stuff that's out there, you could do a lot of oppo research these days with little effort and really have some fun.

Either just incredibly lucky or very talented....I'm going with the talented. This proves Mizzou is SEC ready.

You get it. Shock for shock value alone is just offensive and wrong and anyone can do that. That's why I think the general sentiment expressed by Mizzou fans here has been get back to the witty, creative stuff. Forget trying to one up each other on the shock meter.

The AD has clearly made a decision, antlers gone, and is now running a PR campaign to make that happen. He is bringing up stuff that happened once by a single person and presenting it like it's what the group chants every night, and you out of state folks are totally going for it. The sexual references could easily be fixed by telling the group look the rules you've been operating on for 30+ years have changed, but he's decided to kick them out. Things cross the line on the rant too. Does that person get reprimanded or does the rant get shut down.

This is an arena where I was asked to leave once because I was standing and cheering and the old farts behind me complained. There is a large group of old townies that just want to set quitely and watch a bball game. Before the antlers came along you could have held a church service during the game. Looks like it's heading back that way.

BTW Alden left out some good stuff. There was one with KU and capguns that was awesome.

Do you guys remember back when Michael Dixon played for Mizzou, and some KState fans got his cell number and were harassing him before a game? He kept getting calls and texts at all hours, and tweeted out for help. The Antlers responded in force. They used the numbers doing the harassing, and found the names of those doing it. And their residences on campus, their Greek affiliations, their places of employment, their parents addresses and names, etc. Frat houses on KState campus received dozens of pizzas they hadn't ordered, and the bill. THey were prank called at work, signed up for gay dating websites using their real info, signed up for online porn and gay cruise info, and had magazine subscriptions for all sorts of inappropriate things arriving at their parents homes for months. It was epic.

Nothing the antlers do is even remotely as offensive as a school having a jayhawk as their mascot.

FIFY because you have to simplify/explain that part for a lot of that Rant. Great point though.

Yeah that was the ultimate derp move on the part of the KSU fans. You don't challenge the Antlers when it comes to antics like that. Would be like me challenging Lebron to a game of 21.

I love the fact that the coaches themselves would get calls from our guys. Both Roy Williams and Bill Self told tales of repeated 3 am phone calls the whole week before our games. These guys do do things that have value and are awesome for us, hope that doesn't get overshadowed. Honestly though with Alden being what he is I bet he frowns on the prank calling and false pizza delivery type stuff too and would want it stopped.

I remember when the dookies chanted "PLO" at steve kerr, whose father died in a terrorist attack. Coach K was fricking pissed and basically said if this kind of shite continues i am out of here. He took a stand. Good for him. This is from memory and it was a long time ago. Of course all of the duke apologists like dickey v just pretended that it never happened...
