Pre-Sark was the worst decade in the history of Texas football. You have any opinions on the next 10?

I am not sure that is even true. Yall sucked from mid 80s to mid 90s.

And even if it is, so what? Yall sucked. This is one year of success. Is it real and Sark builds off of it or what is it kind of flukey?

Was it Herman who beat Georgia, and they all thought they were back?

A&M just got another transfer portal guy.

A DE from Marshall.

"Marshall! Ha! Filling their roster with directional school guys!"

Oh - he also has offers from Georgia, Miami, Arkansas, Mississippi State, and many others.

Who's worried about the coattail riders from Austin? All the folks on here yapping about it constantly are the scared ones.

Worst decade? A&M had a bad one in the 2000s yet casuals say that was the norm. The difference is Aggies don't use it as an excuse constantly like the sips.

A&M is 3-2 versus Big 12 teams in bowl games while in the SEC including a split with Okie State. The record would have been better had Dodds not threatened Big 12 schools about scheduling A&M. so weak

I always knew the Big 12 was a grind to get through due to having enough good teams outside of the usual 1 of 2 very good ones (usually OU and/or Baylor), but for a while there it was basically a modern version of the WAC without much defense.

We need DTs, it’s pretty slim behind Hicks and Gabriel

Makes sense Jay, I'm just laughing at Hugh trying to tout these guys as all Power 5 starters. You have a few good ones there, I like the Purdue guy a lot.

Aggies are on the roller coaster early this year.

Y’all act like having the “worst decade ever” gives you free license to cast stones at other programs. That’s the irony.

Next 10 - Have to wait and see…

They stole two players from that tragic Florida defense.

Also promoted Florida's linebacker coach to be their DC and hired Florida's fired defensive line coach.

Those are clearly upgrades, damn it!

So you'll take it back when Corey Raymond is hired as the corner backs coach?

I’d be more concerned if not for Elko. Elko knows defense better than anyone, and he is the upgrade.

Elko will probably dictate the scheme.

I agree that he does. Sidewalk implied a coach was no good because he was fired. I don't believe that to be the case.

Why do yall lie so much? I listed every player, including the 9 power 5 starters.

The rest are stars at places like Marshall and Cal Poly.

Just read this about our most recent DE transfer from Marshall:

quote:

The 6-foot-2, 256-pound mauler generated 36 pressures this past fall while totaling 11.5 tackles for loss and six sacks (45 tackles overall). It all amounted to a 90.9 PFF grade, including a 90.5 pass rush grade. That number ranked seventh among all defensive players nationally across 475 snaps.
