My first thought was… staying under the radar. Still bringing the anti-Jimbo energy.

It seems like Elko is a smart football guy, and is just very intentional about being generic.

Elko is still sticking to the basic football talk, and staying out of the drama.

What do others think?

Elko talking about your empty trophy case was fun.

I was referring to not making headlines or being controversial.

What are you talking about… some elementary humor I’m not picking up on?

Think it was a joke about your crap radar not picking up a huge fat arse.

Elko is very straightforward. He doesn't really have anything controversial to talk about except his weight. Just a football coach

No shite, right? Brutal honesty is what is called for though.

Hopefully that will get the players attention.

Somehow your explanation is funnier than the actual joke.

To be fair, only Bama Georgia and LSU have trophies since 2010.

Don’t matter. Own it until you break through.

That's one thing I like about him, he's usually strictly business.

He did try to talk a little smack after you guys beat us in 2024 and the team promptly went off the rails. Maybe he learned his lesson.

He's saying the right things to keep those checks coming. I think he knows it could be a rough year this year after cfp appearance last year.
Lose to Texas for the hat trick and his seat gets some warmth. Those Jimbo payments will help keep him at aggy for a few years however.

5 SEC road games is going to be a gauntlet

No chance the seat gets warm though

It’s only year 3

He's twice the coach Jimbo was. Maybe three times.

Just because he beat the bottom half of SEC and Brian Kelly doesn’t make a really good coach.

Hiring a first time OC playcaller is certainly a bold move in this league
