I will take Johnny friggin football right now over Romo. He may not be better but at least we'd be losing in a different way than the oh so old watch Romo choke it off at the end scenario....
I know Romo ain't that bad but I'm tired of repeated disappointment with him as the trigger man.

Mett, JFF, others in later rounds.
I'm not sold on any.

and it isn't close. But I would have to build up an elite OL around him because his pocket mobility leaves a lot to be desired.
Manziel will bust. NFL defenses will figure him out like Chavis.
McCarron is a backup.
Murray is a great QB but not as good NFL wise as Mett.

So what else would JFF have to do to convince you? I mean, he only put up the two best statistical seasons in the history of the league.
Not be God awful VS LSU.

None of these guys really seem ready to step straight in and save a team. If I had to pick one though, I'd take McCarron if the OLines are above average. If the OLine is questionable and I have to go SEC QB, I'd honestly take Shaw. He's a tough guy who can take some hits.
As stated a few times, Manziel's highlight plays won't translate well. He's also smaller, so I wonder how many big hits he can take, which his style of play lends to happening. Murray and Mett worry me comng off ACL tears. No, they don't run around a lot, so mobility isn't the big factor here. I'm more curious if they'll become gun shy like Carson Palmer did in Cincinnati after his ACL injury, especially making the college to NFL leap. Those big bodies move fast, and a young QB coming off a major knee injury could get rattled and worry about re-injury.

Palmer's issue was his arm that he should have gotten tommy john surgery on not his acl tear.

Any SEC QB. Those are just the first that came to mind. If I were rebuilding my team, i'd take Mett, simply because I know that if he has a decent coach and good reciever, that he will succeed. If i were drafting right to start right away, it would be either Connor Shaw or maybe even Nick Marhsall. Both are great talents but Connor is tougher. Seen him get lit up plenty of times. I wouldn't gamble with Johnny. Murray or McCarron, my guess is that one will bust and the other will be a backup his whole career. Just dont see it in them.
