I've been saying this all year, "just win baby!"

whoever wins next week will have the shot at a NC. all both teams have to do is win. screw everything else.

I can't wait for next week.

The general consensus on here is that the SEC is the best conference in the country.

And yet somehow Bama is 5-0 in the best conference in the country without having played anyone.

I've got a headache now.

They are beating the teams they play. That's all they can do. Everyone knew at the beginning of the year Bama's schedule was weak.

skullhawk,

Which line battle do you think LSU can win? Do you think your O-line can handle our D?

Do you think your D-line can stop our run?

Aside from Florida, who have you guys played?

They've beat every team they've played so far. Anymore questions?

I think our defense can prevent Bama from going up and down the field. I think Ingram will get his yards. Preventing the big play is key. We have to make you guys earn every yard as it appears you offense has trouble finishing off drives. LSU needs to keep Bama 14 points or below to have any hope of winning this thing.

Our offensive line will not handle your defense. I don't see LSU doing much on offense next Saturday. All I can hope for is a big play or two. Maybe find the hot route on a blitz or force a turnover in Bama territory.

Our schedule has not been very difficult. The most glaring difference is your toughest opponent was a middle of the road ACC team and ours was the #1 team in the country and defending NC.

Does this argument about Bama's schedule help LSU fans validate themselves or justify their argument that they will beat Bama and win the West?...this is stupid...almost as stupid as saying that because your offense finally moved the ball and scored some points on Auburn's horrid defense means you had an offensive breakthrough....you guys are seriously getting as delusional as the Bammers...

meh, your post is weaker than the Auburn defense. I think the schedule argument (which I have not made) is only a way of LSU fans letting Bama know that LSU is the best team they will play. Just smack talk on a message board.

Anything positive on offense was a breakthrough no matter how bad a defense we were playing. We have struggled against below average defenses this year. Like I said in my post above, I don't see LSU doing much on offense next Saturday.

If a team is going to base how well they do in the future because of how they played vs. Auburn...one would think Arky is the best team in the nation...

I understand your comments...but there have been several posters that act like the LSU offense is all that because of what you guys did vs. Auburn...you can't deny that...

Neither do I. But, we're not going to do much on offense either. It'll be a defensive battle with special teams winning it, IMO.

no denying that. Watch next weeks prediction thread on the rant. There will be multiple people picking LSU to score 30+ against Bama.

who has played who when and the scores of those games have nothing to do with the bama v. lsu game. it will a great game and one team will come out with a win and the other will have had opportunities to reverse the outcome. typical SEC game.

Ole Miss held us to 22 (22-3)
South Carolina, 20 (20-6)
Tennessee is the only team to hold us to less than 20 (12-10)

Every other team we've played, we scored over 30 on. Should be tough for LSU to pull off holding us to 14.

Other than the Tennessee game, we've never led by less than two scores at the end of a game.
