well you seemed pretty confident just a moment ago about him going 10-2.

so anything less than that would be a disappointment, no? and thats coming on the heels of a disappointing 2017 campaign.

There's a difference in being disappointed and being on the hot seat.

glad you conceded that last year was a disappointment so we can skip that.

ASSUMING (because in my heart of hearts, I think LSU will go 10-3) LSU does go 8-5, thats two disappointing seasons, and an ever-decreasing buyout.

if you don't think O would enter 2019 on the hotseat if he fails to match his win total from last year, I am really not sure what to tell you.

Pump the brakes there sparky

Your best OOC opponent was a Sunbelt team, Your cross divisional opp were a combined 8-15 last season and only 4/13 opponents were P5 teams with 8+ wins

Despite that shite show of a schedule LSU was just as close to going 6-7

I know the SEC was down last year, but Orgeron had a legitimate shot to go 11-2. I know its still funny we lost to Troy, but that is a game non-trolls would agree is a win 99% of the time. Choosing to kick a field goal from the 1 or 2 yard line in the bowl game against ND, then that ND WR making a GREAT catch and run for the TD at the end was tough. 11-2 in his first year was unbelievably attainable. the schedule fricking sucks this year though. Replacing UT with UGA and adding Miami. A potentially better MS State/UF. We shall see. I wonder what the view of Orgeron would be had we gone 11-2 in his first full season....

C'mon, there's probably 25 teams in America that could say well, if this happened or that happened, we'd be 11-2, 12-0. Well, it didn't happen.
LSU doesn't have the depth in the fronts they need, there is no RB this year that we know of and don't even start on the QB situation. They are gonna lose to Miami and Auburn is gonna absolutely run them out of Jordan Hare Stadium. It's gonna be ugly. There's 2 losses and they havent even gotten to A&M, UGA, Bama, Arkie, State, Florida. 7 wins this season would be the absolute ceiling.
Aside from Orgeron being a bad coach there is another problem eating away at them from inside. If Aranda and the O coord do indeed make decisions based on what they want to do without it being O's direction, well, they are gonna see themselves as THE coach and want more of the pie. Why would you be making the decisions and not be getting the credit and pay. It's what happened with Canada last year. He had ZERO respect for O and tried to do it his way and caused friction. The assistants don't view your school or mine as we do. They couldn't care less. It's a job. Aranda isn't oozing with Tiger blood. It's a job. They will eventually undermine the coach..., see Larry Coker,... and everything falls apart. If you want an assistant to call shots you need to make him the head guy. This is gonna cause LSU way more problems than the roster or talent.

The assistants work FOR the Head Coach not WITH the Head Coach.
