Ed Orgeron is Gonna Surprise alot of people this year

When this is your coach’s benchmark for “surprising people”

I'm not at all confident Orgeron can't develop into a decent HC, at least for a short period.

I could see him having a Chizik-like run, a couple of 8/9 win seasons, a run at an SEC title during a special year, and a massive collapse.

I know the SEC was down last year, but Orgeron had a legitimate shot to go 11-2. I know its still funny we lost to Troy, but that is a game non-trolls would agree is a win 99% of the time. Choosing to kick a field goal from the 1 or 2 yard line in the bowl game against ND, then that ND WR making a GREAT catch and run for the TD at the end was tough. 11-2 in his first year was unbelievably attainable. the schedule fricking sucks this year though. Replacing UT with UGA and adding Miami. A potentially better MS State/UF. We shall see. I wonder what the view of Orgeron would be had we gone 11-2 in his first full season....

hed have more benefit of the doubt after the 8-5 year hes about to have.

instead 8-5 could possibly get him fired in year 2 after 9-4 in year 1.

Maybe, but the pants are coming off after LSU beats Bama.

I heard he’s made it all the way to X in the alphabet. To say the least, I was surprised.
