Now we just have to suffer through the wait for the game to be released, whenever that happens. That should give people time to get next-gen consoles, though.

That doesn't prevent them from using someone from this year as a cover (such as Smith, Lawrence, Jones, Trask). Mark Ingram was on the cover of NCAA Football 12 and he left Alabama after the 2010 season.

They could if it is not a current college football player. See Mark Ingram on the cover of NCAA Football 12, which was released after he left Alabama.
