Florida was trying to keep the game in Gainesville but were unsure of keeping the game scheduled that weekend due to the unpredictability of the storm. They had no idea how powerful it would be or what sort of impact it would make on the surrounding communities.

In hindsight they could have kept the game scheduled for Saturday and everything would have been fine.

Orrrrrrrrr they could have agreed to have LSU fly in on Sunday morning and fly out on Sunday evening, orrrrrrrrrrrr play on Monday, just in case.

Again, Foley's response was Saturday at noon or na uh.

Completely irrational thinking on my part, right?

Literally no one is surprised that you would rather be associated with the Saints than LSU.

Don't be embarrassed though, at least your elementary was able to give you the education that your college couldn't.

You really don't have a leg to stand on. LSU was willing to do whatever it took to play the game that weekend, while Florida had one plan they would consider. Stackey should have stepped in and told them to go to hell and play the game, but he's a weakling.

LSU had every right to demand the game be in BR this year, considering it was Foley's and Stachey's fault 1000% the game didn't get played.

Ive never been a fan of Alleva, but he definitely got this right.

The way Alleva handled this was the first thing he's done right at LSU. No longer will LSU be the SEC's bitch!!

the storm wasn't that unpredictable

thats why you make contingency plans we you see the storm may be coming. you know....like LSU did.

instead of saying all the way to thursday that the game can still be played in Gainesville. you're ignorant of this whole situation

Hurt feelings? Now that's a laugh. Pussy? I'm challenging someone to man up and make an argument...which you were obviously incapable of doing.

Ah, so they were scared.

In a way. Playing a game so soon after a natural disaster is not healthy for anyone. Their heads wouldn't have been in the game. Just as LSU's probably weren't in the aftermath of Hurricane Rita. Their minds were focused on their friends and loved ones.

Sooo LSU should be the only ones to give up revenue because Florida refused to play anywhere else that day or even to postpone until Sunday, Monday or even Tuesday?

You aren't very bright are you?

Look Moron since you went there first you'll get treated as such. The only point to that is the game could have been played and should have some where. Whether that game should have between NC St.and ND should have been played or not is debatable but they played it. But hey way to deflect form UF's and the SEC commissioners' failure are want to have UF play this game.

Jesus effing Christ...I have a two week old head of cabbage in my refrigerator with more brain cells. The ONLY thing I am talking about was one moron's example of the Notre Dame game being played. Can you people not fricking read?

I don't give a shite what Alleva or Sankey or Foley said to whom or when they said it.

All I am saying is that anyone would have to be a fricking moron to point to the Notre Dame game as an example of what should have been done.

Period.

UF football was injured and they wanted to use the storm to get healthy

This is utter and total bullshite. The University of Florida had no fricking intention what-so-ever to play the game at any time much less after they had healed up.

They figured if they played 6 SEC games and lost 1 and Tennessee played 7 games and lost 2 that they(Florida) would be named the SEC East champion.

After they were informed that they would indeed have to play 7 games to be eligible then they started crawfishing like the little bitches they are.

Why do you think they agreed to play in Baton Rouge? That was their staunchest announcement the week of the game was that their was no way the game would be played anywhere other than at UF.

If Florida knew then what they do now - regardless of what happened with the storm the game would have been scheduled in Gainesville that Sunday or Monday with UF's blessing. They would have gladly accepted one of the very many concessions LSU made to try and play the game in Florida or at a neutral site.

They had an "OH-shite" moment the very next week and then had to beg LSU to play the whiney spineless rats. They were so caught off guard by the ruling they even agreed to play in Baton Rouge.
