Well no shite.

This is preseason speculation.

Based on what I think is going to happen:

Latt (Heisman)
TR
Dyer
Davis

Not saying Davis is going to be shitty, just that those guys are going to do a bit better.

But I've been a Dennis Johnson fan for a while now.

And Petrino didn't seem to trust Knile those first three games when Johnson was healthy.

It wasn't a trust issue, it was no one wanted to step up and be "the man" issue.

DJ is a good back, its isn't like I dislike the guy, but he does find himself in Petrino's "dog house" for whatever reason when it comes to time on the field and getting carries...

Broderick Green is the softest 245 pound HB I've ever seen. Davis, Johnson, and Wingo is a great group though.

He did get the ball.

And he usually ran into the waiting arms of a defender.

I think the voters have their hands forced to vote for the best player.

No argument here, but for whatever reason he seemed to get more carries than he ever should have each game...

And I watched him run for the longest rushing TD in Arkansas/NCAA history (99 yards), it is still mind boggling how he done so especially have to take a break for a breather at the 30 yard line...

Davis will finish the season as the SEC's leading rusher.
No he won't. Not this year.

Cobb was the biggest "what if" story in Arkansas history, imho.

Maybe he's a good pass protector? Petrino would like that. I don't know, I watched around 6 or 7 Arkansas games last year but obviously not as many as Arkansas fans did.

But when Arkansas shows up in Tuscaloosa next year I'm hoping we see a good bit of Broderick.

You might, on crutches, on the sideline.

However, I doubt he travels with the team...

I finished 2nd to him in high school for outstanding back in our conference...I took his place in the all-star game because he was a junior...

BTW: You have to do this, adequately, before you can run the ball for Petrino which was the reason given most often to Davis' absence during the first three games.

No shame in finishing 2nd to him, he was great before his injury.

No idea if he had more success post football than Cobb (who has had none).
