Yeah, but he appears to be a damn good coach. My only concern would be him jumping to the NFL at some point. Perhaps that would be less of a concern at Florida since he graduated from Florida.

Don’t worry everyone!! No coach is going anywhere.

They are too dug in to the community and their kids go to school there!!

. I agree he seems like a good coach. Don’t know if he’d leave an easier conference with low expectations to go into the fire that is UF right now

Coach Drinkwitz and Florida Gators are not a culture fit.

Lane looks like a Floridian.

Drink looks like one of Michael Sam’s boy toys.

There isn't a better time to go to Florida IMO. He'll get a good contract as I think he is already making $7+ and he'll get at least 3 years to turn it around.

If he wins, he'll be a legend at his alma mater.

If he doesn't, he'll get paid a lot to leave.

Not much downside if you ask me.

Oh I think if the money is right, he will take it. I just don’t know how it’ll be viewed with the fanbase if he doesn’t have an OC or at least an analyst who would assist in calling an offense. Right now at Washington, his defense is bad, but I was reading some of the Husky fan blogs and they want him to be more of an actual head coach and hire an OC to call plays so that it frees him up.

But he took over a complete dumpster fire after DeBoer left, and he would be starting over at UF but obviously with a lot more resources.

the only plusses you come up with are monetary. If he likes coaching football he's better off where he is, and given that he make $9+ plus incentives and bonuses the money thing is probably not the draw you think it is

I am honestly not worried about anyone poaching him. I think he is at Mizzou for the long haul, and honestly a lot of these vacancies would be a step down ... and that would also include Florida.

This isn't the late 90's or early 2000's.

Chip is weird at LSU..now Les Miles was a perfect fit..

Like Spurrier at Florida
Smart at Georgia
Pete at USC
Stoops at OU
Saban at Bama
Bowden at FSU
etc

some just fit the fanbase perfectly

Coaching at the school you graduated from isn't a plus? I'd say that's the biggest piece of the puzzle.

Coaching in the SEC isn't a plus? I didn't mention it because it's obvious. Another huge piece of the puzzle.

Warmer weather in the middle of recruiting paradise? Another plus that should have been obvious.

You don't actually believe that. Mizzou hasn't won a Conference Championship since 1969. Florida has won 2 NC since 2000.
