kU bought a player from TCU, Bert Coan. He played in the game, was found to be illegible due to kU normal cheating behavior, and they were forced to forfeit the game by the ncaa.

I've heard this was pretty normal behavior for KU vs MU as well. This was just one of the few times they got caught.

ku used an ineligible player. The reason Mizzou has never claimed it is basically pride. 9-0 & #1 Mizzou should never have lost at home to Kansas with or without Bert Coan.
