Return of Dark Mizzou?
Or was it Darth mizzou?
It was Dan Mullen who dressed in a full Vader costume in a press conference after a Missouri game.
Never understood why Drink got 1000X more shite from everyone when all he did was bring out a lightsaber and say a quick quote that even non fans know after he beat them the next season.

The following season was Dan Mullen downfall.

He makes $9M and can coach there forever if he just wins 8 games every year with the occasional big season every few.
Have you ever dealt with Missouri fans ever lol?
I try to practice solidarity but I cannot have people absolutely lying.
Nothing changes faster than a sports fan in Missouri's expectations.

Let’s also mention he gets to play Vanderbilt and a down in the shitter Arkansas program every year.
Not trolling, just facts.

Yep, Keiton Jones, OLineman from Kansas offered by 8 other SEC schools, including Bama, Arky, OU, Tennessee and Ole Miss. And also K-Pugh.

You’re just wrong, and I’ve probably been a Missouri fan for longer than you’ve been out of diapers.
If Drink averages 9 wins a year, he’ll coach there as long as he wants. The expectations at Missouri and Florida are vastly different.

Wow, 2000 was a long time ago. I doubt you still have any of those same players on the team even.
Let’s bring you current. MU was objectively better in 2023 than OU, and in consensus subjectivity of college football sites expected to be better than OU again in 2024.
There, now we’re up to date!

Expectations have been raised a whole lot. And CED's own expectations aren't to average at least 8 wins a year. He wants more -- a lot more. And his recruiting is better than any I've ever witnessed as a longtime Missouri fan.
Settling in at 2nd tier is not what CED expects, and neither should Missouri fans. He's young and hungry for a lot more than 2nd tier status. It wasn't that long ago that UGA was 2nd tier. Smart expected more and got more.
Missouri has been UGA's toughest game the last 2 years in the SEC regular season. Both were winnable late in the 4th quarter, but UGA stepped up when it had to and the Tigers couldn't quite clear the hurdle. I have great respect for UGA and most of their fans. CED hopes to get where they've gone. There is nothing wrong with raising expectations even if they are never realized.

Ive never seen a fanbase get so worked up about a couple 4 star recruits. The guy is recruiting at TCU/Kentucky levels, it’s not a big deal.
Just say you're embarrassed that you got your pockets picked by them not once but multiple times. Welcome to the SEC.

And I'm hardly frightened by anybody from K-Pugh with an ugly bird as the mascot. Kansas is irrelevant as a state, so that fits your sorry football program. Nobody I know has ever planned a vacation anywhere in Kansas -- one of the most boring states. The closest I'll get is KC, which has some civilization, even if the founders chose a terrible name.
I believe the city of Kansas City was established before Kansas was a state.

I believe Sarah Sanders is the Governor of Arkansas.....that's a decent gig for a politician.

So Kansas was named in envy of a Missouri city? Not so sure about that and too lazy to look it up, but I like it. Kansas, a giant suburb for Kansas City.

The Town of Kansas Company started in 1838. It was incorporated as the town of Kansas in 1850, and in 1853 as Kansas City. The territory of Kansas was formed in 1854.

I dislike kansas to a degree that's not really healthy and would like to say it was named after some 19th century stomach parasite. But it was named after the Kansa, a Sioux tribe who lived along the river. Now, what those Sioux called those kansans settlers was "bad smell men".
If only those kansans hadn't killed or imprisioned all those Native Americans I imagine their name for the kansans would be "Heep big crappy football".
