If by they, you meant internet trolls and or low info fans..then ok...but everyone who had a semt advanced knowledge of football knew he was building. The recruiting was way up..the low end transfers were over performing...the quality of play improved..even if the record did not. We knew to stay the course..and 8-4 last year was the fans goal...he exceeded.

Ive never seen a fanbase get so worked up about a couple 4 star recruits. The guy is recruiting at TCU/Kentucky levels, it’s not a big deal.

Although Florida is much bigger brand and program, I think Mizzou is the more attractive job right now. He makes $9M and can coach there forever if he just wins 8 games every year with the occasional big season every few. Mizzou has a very strong NIL offering, and the he basically runs the athletic department. Why leave for a program with a quick trigger and much higher expectations?
