Even if he is drafted he wont see the field under center. Mett wouldnt even be on the Jets 4 deep right now...

Who is debating this? The day after Matt Touchdown Flynn gets beat out AGAIN in preseason, I wouldn't predict an LSU QB starting in the NFL anytime soon.

Y'all beat Texas Christian. Quit thumping your bird chests.

Not for all of the stupid overreaching comments by LSU fans. Especially, talking about QBs being drafted. Manziel may be in jail by the time the draft comes around, anyway. On a different note, for any A&M fan to try to downplay a TCU team that has been highly successful the past decade with BCS appearances and victories with a respected defense while you guys struggle with the likes of a LaTech and Rice is more of an overreach on your part. A&M hasn't come close to a BCS bowl. A win versus Bama and a cotton bowl win over OU is the highlight of your football program since the 90's. And even that is being greatly overshadowed by a punk that thinks he's about the program and his teammates.

41-24
24-19
*with garbage time touchdowns for A&M in both games.

So if he magically improves, and every other player remains stagnant he will get drafted in the 6th or 7th round. I agree. Key word there is magic.

Would you be interested in a 2 mos ban bet? Mett gets drafted.

Manziel is a much better player. Mett is kinda like Wallace.

FTR I remember a few year ago when JJ had a great opener vs UNC and all of a sudden he had "turned the corner."

Not flaming, Mett's a talented player who could def be a top 3 round guy but you Tigahs just get ahead of yourselves sometimes, as we all do.

I've seen plenty of draft experts who had Mett in their top 10 QBs going into this season. He has all of the physical things that teams want, and all of the issues that he has are fixable, coach able; not to mention he's being mentored by one of the best QB gurus there is this season in Cam Cameron.

Mett feels like a clone of Joe Flacco to me.. He's tall, with a huge arm, but he's not exactly a high completion guy. 50-60% usually, but gets the job done. It's funny that they're comparable because Flacco can pretty much thank Cam Cameron for his career.

In a discussion about JFF, the person I was talking to insisted that Johnny would get drafted in the first round. In reading this board, I have my doubts. In reading the Tiger Rant, most there think Mett will be drafted before JFF. Would proposing a bet that Mett gets drafted before JFF be a safe bet? I can add caveats about injuries, etc. Non-LSU/aTm opinions would be appreciated.

Mett has to prove himself against a good pass rush before I get too excited. You have to be a band geek.

Metts best hope is to get drafted late as a back-up and work his way up. He's got the tools.. he's a team player and he's started studying film a champ.

He's one of those guys who would have to find the right fit though.

Flacco and Mett both have had time being coached by Cameron and they are both big. That's about the only comparison. Flacco was extremely accurate in college (and in the pros) and was a 1st Round Draft Pick.

Threads like these remind me just how strong the TigerRant influence is on this board.

It really is laughable the way the aggies on this board talk shite about TCU.

It's really not that ridiculous of a scenario, contrary to what I'm sure everyone here thinks.

The last time A&M lost to TCU was 1972, over 40 years ago. Most Aggies think of TCU this way:

Tebow.

But there is no way a fan can know more than a pro organization.

and no way an organization would draft for jersey sales.

Nothing like marketing God for personal financial profit.

I see Tebow in Area league as a DT.
