bad, but not as bad as...
Bama faithful claiming AJ is a better QB than Aaron Rogers and Peyton Manning because he threw less INT's last year was comedy gold.

He's a qb, someone will probably pick him up in the last round. Though I think it's crazy to act like it's a given.
Back peddling now?

Ok I bet you there is a possibility of him not getting drafted.
I win!

You were alluding to him not getting drafted based on a projection list. You just seemed pretty confident.

To be fair, TCU will have a top 15 defense at the end of the year. They returned 9 of their defensive starters and everyone knows Patterson can coach defense very, very well.
They are certainly better than Rice and Virginia Tech.

Here is another NFL Draft Board with Johnny as a 2nd Rounder and Mett as Undrafted:
LINK
Mett is big and has good arm strength. That's nice but it isn't nearly enough. His completion percentage is awful. He is a statue. He hasn't shown he is a great game manager. He likely won't light up the combine with some crazy performance. There are a LOT of other QB's out there as good if not better than Mett. A&M's backup, Luke Joekel, is 6'4 and 234 with a strong arm and limited mobility as well and he completed passes at a higher clip but no one is expecting him to be drafted.
Johnny has size and potentially attitude issues but outside of that he is a dynamic playmaker. Since the LSU game last year about 75% of the drives that he QB'ed ended in a TD or FG try. He is very accurate and has a more than adequate arm with exceptional touch. Oh, and he is a serious running threat. Jerry Jones and Chip Kelly are salivating at the chance to get JM (don't forget that JM was committed to Kelly are Oregon before A&M offered). Wilson, Brees, and Vick are all smaller than JM for that matter and mobility in a QB is at more of a premium than ever.
Hate Johnny all you want but I would NEVER bet against that kid on a football field. He is one of the most competitive and unique players ever to play the game and he seems to shine under pressure.

It was a good win, but you tigers need to simmer down with your newfound offensive excitement.

Mett is currently rated at 259 in the draft position which would just barely leave him undrafted.
If he ups his completion percentage and continues to play the way he's playing, that'll increase significantly.

At this point Mett getting drafted would be foolish..... Likewise at this point Johnny getting drafted before round 4 would be foolish.

He'll be drafted barring injury.
I can't wait for you kids to change your mind about Mett. The way he looked against Bama last year will be the norm this year.
He has always had the talent, just needed the coaching.
ETA:
I'm not saying he is a world beater at QB or anywhere near as good as Manziel. However, he is better than people think and it will show this year.

Outside of most of 2011, LSU hasn't exactly had much excitement on offense since 2007. I recognize Mett has some drawbacks, but I'm hoping the TCU game showed a window into what we will see this season.

So if he magically improves, and every other player remains stagnant he will get drafted in the 6th or 7th round. I agree. Key word there is magic.
