Didn't Greg McElroy throw for over 400 yards in a scrimmage a couple years ago? Scrimmages mean nothing.

Sounds like the Bama players are counting on another second chance this year

What's funny is that one of those "processed" players is supposed to be one of Auburn's better RBs this year

Word around Auburn is that he looked real good in the scrimmage today...

Plus, I think it's widely known that Nick Saban took him to keep him away from Auburn. I can't wait to see him break some long runs this year and take back some kick-offs.

Yeah. He wasn't given a chance to play at Alabama at all. Once we got him here we just told him to stay away from spring drills because we just got you to keep you away from Auburn.

It's OK, brah. It happens everywhere. Auburn just hasn't been able to grab any guys to specifically keep them away from Bama. Saban was able to tell Grant what he wanted to hear for a little while until he had to be cut loose.

Are you saying it doesn't happen? Bear Bryant was notorious for doing it. It helped him win, and kept great players from other programs. He hand picked the best players, and the others went home. Not only did they go home, they couldn't go play for someone else.

Read all of that in a book about Bear.

Pretty much every single one of the RBs we have on scholarship are banged up. It only makes sense. Besides, Saban has reportedly expressed in private that he isn't worried about our running backs. He's trying to see what our wide receivers can do.

smart if you ask me. As you said we all know how good the RB's are.

I love the UA fans who think the fact that they are a fan of Alabama some how makes them better than others.

bryant was operating in an era of no scholarship restrictions. grant left because he went through spring and say that he was not as good as lacy or hart and figured he would not play
