Ole Miss split tomorrow, at least. Rebs have improved over the year, and now with Matt Smith back, Anderson developing at SS to put Newalu at 2B and Yarb at 3rd, we're good to go and can be really competitive against anybody in the league. Just gotta get some more consistent bullpen (outside of Jake Morgan, of course).

How so? LSU is at 12-17. The best they can do is 13-17.
State, Bama & Auburn are at 14-15. You can't match them even if all 3 lose tomorrow.
Ark & OM are at 13-15 with 2 to play. even if one takes 2 tomorrow, the loser will be tied with LSU at 13-17. According to my calculations, LSU sits home with UT, UK and one of State/Bama/Aub/Ark/OM.
What scenario am I missing out on where LSU can make it to Hoover?

Hey SC has only lost 2 SEC series over the last 2 years. Last season we lost the last weekend to UF which costs us the SEC title. This season it was to OM, if we had won at least 1 more vs OM we'd have this SEC title wrapped up so I'm allowed to be bitter for now.

Smoke at least made it to Hoover every year. Yes ,of course Omaha > Hoover and CWS title > SEC Title.
Guy did a bang up job in 2009 to which I'm thankful. But this isn't Memphis State baseball. Maineri needs to get it togethor in '12 or hopefully we'll have a new coach in 2013.

Mainieri's missed the SEC tournament twice and was pretty lucky to get in last season.
There's no reason for LSU to ever be out of the top 8.

i agree 59. 08 and 09 were great under paul but these last 2 years havent been acceptable to LSU. that needs to be fixed and im honestly surprised more people arent upset with him
