So what does it mean when Arkansas replaced their shitty DC with a better one and it was a terrible hire..

Can you tell us Bucknut?

'15 would be my guess. I think the running game will continue to improve this year but I need to see the passing game be more efficient before we move forward. I think our answer there is Peavey or Storey and the latter won't be on campus until next spring.

What jump?

Arkansas went from the top 10 in sacks given in 07, to bottom 10 while Petrino was here, it improved tremendously.

Arkansas barely averaged more than 100 rushing yards a game in 2012.

Arkansas saw the number of fumbles increase on a yearly basis after the hire of Tim Horton, that number improved this year.

Last year's offense had 5 WRs on the roster, a walk-on QB, and a QB with a torn muscle in his throwing shoulder for the final 9 games.

The RB, O-line, and TE play did nothing but improve.

He obviously came to Arkansas for more money. Long term, it might not have been a smart move for him depending on how long he plans to stay in coaching. He will most likely complete his tenure at Arkansas with a losing record. Many Hog fans will be wishing they had never fired Petrino if they haven't already.

Our running game is extremely promising after one year. We were third in YPC in SEC only games with no threat of a passing game. That was the thing that people said we wouldn't be able to do. Throw in a much improved OL and hopefully a QB that can hit 57-60% of his passes and I think that YPC # will continue to go up.

I've seen them both play in high school and Storey is/was much more impressive IMO.

Honestly, I never understood why Brashears was so highly rated but that's a different debate.

Outside of Brian Wallace, your OL haul isn't impressive

Probably the dumbest thing in this thread

Besides Wallace, our others had offers from programs like Florida, Oklahoma, Alabama and Florida State

Misleading - padded the stats by leaving 1st stringers in LONG after the loss was a given. Fact. Too bad Bart sold "stats" for depth and experience.

So 3 years of horrible offenses for the team I like means I can't say your offensive point production is shitty? That's horrible logic

Sure, but he is at a smaller school than Brashears was then, but Charleston has moved up in classification.

During Nutt's early years, he took a LB out of the area from a similar size school that was a highly regarded (before the rankings) LB, when he got on campus he wasn't as fast on that field as he was in HS, they had him in the Bandit position as they were calling it, too slow, so move him to safety, too slow, so he moved on to Tech.

No one has panned out from that area since Greg Skullman, long time ago, lol.

You don't pull your starters during a 9 game losing streak. Almost beat LSU in BR.

If you look at the depth chart from last year, there wasn't anyone to put in the game to "build experience"...

So we ran the ball more since we were trailing? Makes perfect sense.

If anything we threw the ball more than we would have normally since we were getting blown out

I agree he isn't a sure thing. That's probably the case with an QB out of Arkansas. However he has also been very impressive on the camp circuit. Barring an injury, he should be a lock for the Elite 11 camp this year.

If level of competition is a concern with Storey then you should definitely be concerned with Peavey as well. The quality of football here is SWMO is absolutely terrible.
