correct answer is OU 36- Tx 34 with three ties. (This also includes OU winning over Texas in the CCG of '18 and is not inclusive of 1950, which was an OU win).

Artificial intelligence.

That's only 73 games. There are 73 years from 1950 to 2023, so something is off with that series record you provided.

I believe the 38 in my post means they counted 1950 (74 games played from '50-'23 when you include 1950) and the CCG (1 game played). So, it's 75 games played from 1950 - 2023 when you include 1950. If you start at 1951, it's 74 games played, not 73.

Unless they didn't play one year here or there, that's what the series record over that time should add up to

Wasn't the OU QB injured for that game?

I see what you did there.

OU WR coach:

Emmett Jones
@CoachEmmett
3 straight years, but nothing was better than 10/7/2023..

First-year Oklahoma receivers coach Emmett Jones was on:
• the Kansas staff that beat Texas in ‘21
• the Texas Tech staff that beat Texas in ‘22
• the Sooners’ staff that beat Texas on Saturday.

Before the game on Saturday, since 1950, the record was 33-33-3 for OU- whorns, now 34-33-3. Yep, overall record is yours, so at some point, you have to move to the modern era.

What makes 1950 so special?

I said from day 1 that Brent was the absolute best HC we could get. Few know this but he was working on a plan for if/when he’d become a HC for years prior to OU calling. Has a booklet that he’s written out and thought through everything he would do as a head coach. When OU came calling he spelled out many things they would have to do if he took the job. Like the SOUL program. Thats why it took time OU had to go back amd make sure they could do all he wanted because it was going to cost some money (the facility type things).
So, maybe he wins the natty this year, then takes a big buyout in two years time. Or are booklets somehow better than binders.

Drake Stoops is in his last year but the Stoops have left their mark on this series. He caught and ran that big pass in last drive to get them down to red zone.

“The Stoops family has combined for 17 wins against Texas in 25 attempts”

Binders can be 3 rings of emptiness, booklets are full of information

Heard OU is 34-33-3 over last 70 years. Definitely heavy OU's way since 2000's.

Since 2000
OU-Tx
OU 17-8
5 of last 6
11 of 15
14 B12 Titles
Yeah, I would say so.

Back to back bad HC hires will do that to you. Regents have been so focused on hiring the next “hot” coach they failed to hire the “best” coach for the program.

But third times the charm….

LOL, I tried to do it by year but I screwed it up.

I'll do it by decade:

1950s OU 7- TX 3

1960s OU 1- TX 9

1970s OU 6- TX 3 Tie 1

1980s OU 5- TX 4 Tie 1

1990s OU 2- TX 7 Tie 1

2000s OU 6- TX 4

2010s OU 8- TX 3 (extra game is CCG)

2020s OU 3- TX 2

38-35-3 in favor of OU. All games including 1950.

At any rate, my point of contention is when you posted this.

AI says it is 38-34-3 in favor of UTx from 1950-2023, with one post-season game.

2020s OU 3- TX 2

yeah this is wrong.. unless you are conceding the game in December.. which I’m okay with

TIE 33-33-3 since 1956
OU 38-34-3 since 1950
TX 63-51-5 all time

none of that matters though..

1-1 with the current coaches

2023 30 - 34
2022 49 - 0

Tiebreaker in December (hopefully)
then we start SEC play
OU wins the Big 12 portion of the record

Yep, It's 38-34-3 OU since and including 1950.

I guess I've proven I can't count. I just hope I'm just as bad at forecasting.
