No, and it doesn't ONLY have to do with the losses. It's more that they would only have 1 quality win, against bama. Pair that along with a loss to a 3-win indiana team (at home) and a 34 point loss to the 2nd best team on the schedule, also at home.
The other teams missouri would be battling for that spot would almost surely have a handful of quality wins on their resume.

Better question is for you to tell me why they would deserve a spot?

Yes, but it's going to require some help. OSU, Oregon, Baylor, and FSU need to lose.

Missouri fans, what happened in the Mizzou - Indiana game? Was it a bunch of turnovers or something? A lot of injuries? I didn't watch it obviously (probably nobody did other than Missouri fans). They seem like a truly awful team - how did Missouri blow that one?

It was a lot like the Chiefs/Raiders the other night. Mizzou woke up in the 3rd quarter, took the lead and then let Indy drive the field (a 4th and like 16 PI call helped them extend the drive). Mizzou only had one turnover and our defense was bleh.

Marcus Golden was out for the Indiana game. It was the game that ended our long arse tournover streak.
Tevin Coleman went off. We had a chance at the end to win but got screwed on a PI call on 4th down and the next play they hit a screen to Coleman(by far their best player) that took them inside the 10.
It was also the first game of the Maty Mauk debacle. He started showing that he was about to hit a huge slump.

I'm finding it harder and harder to define what "deserving" really means anymore. I think there is a monumental difference in picking the four best teams and the 4 most deserving team, and then even within those two categories there is alot of room for interpretation.
But I'd probably answer yes.
Your scenario would mean that Missouri and MSU both have 1-SEC loss to the team who would widely be considered the best in their division (I'm defining best as who would be favored in betting). MSU also would have lost more recently.
Forget the Indiana game, I side with weighing quality wins much much more heavily than freak losses.
Definitely think you still have a chance, as evidenced by the current 50-1 odds, but a large % of those odds are probably based on a scenario where MSU loses to Ole Miss.
Will be very interesting to see what happens to those odds after this weekend (assuming you win)

Hell no, unless almost every other top 10 ten team loses out. State, Bama, and UGA would all have a better chance with two losses and it would take some serious crap for them as well.

Mizzou definitely should be in if they win that game and the SEC championship.

I think the loss to Indiana and the bad loss to Georgia (and the fact that both were at home) eliminate the Tigers from the East.

If your schedule were tougher I'd say yes but your cupcake fest hurts, imo. (Note: I'd eliminate a lot of playoff teams based on the same thing - If you have a weaker schedule you have to go play a perfect season, not necessarily a pretty season but a perfect one). I do think you've been playing like contenders on defense and if you win the SEC you'll have an argument to make just not a very strong one. Of course, it might turn out to be just as strong or even stronger than others the media always seems to give a pass to but Mizzou for good or ill hasn't been given a pass on that schedule.
Also note that I'm of the mind that most teams don't schedule tough enough and that it should be a major knock against you if you haven't. I've been highly disappointed with CFB schedules across the board. P5 teams with playoff chances SHOULD be doing a better job across the board but that just hasn't happened.
JMO.

No.
Indiana.
UGA 34-0.
We're Missouri.
On top of that we wouldn't deserve it, even with winning the SECCG. See above. The outrage if we were chosen would make Ferguson look like a gay pride parade.
