Also another expert listed 12-13 LSU players this year who will be drafted in the first three rounds… and then asks who he has overlooked. Judging from the replies, he missed a few… which again is remarkable.

Remarkable in what way?

LINK

PFF has LSU as a top 10 wr corps heading into the season as well, with arguably a top 2 wr in college football. So according to PFF the d line is top 5 and wr are top 10. It prob isn't fair to say both are the best but it's not outlandish.

Does Hugh McElroy have a stalker-like obsession with all things LSU?

Is Will Anderson that guy a freshman OT completely stonewalled at Kyle Field? Never heard his name called.

I'm not saying either unit is the best but they are both among the best.

LSU defense will be outstanding … or so it seems at this point in the season…

The DL should be very good. LB average except for the JACK position. The secondary is a big question mark.

I would say WR corp is top 5 but Qb play is the Key, DL is top 3-5. Bama and Georgia are arguably better in talent but let’s be honest we are splitting hairs, how they play together is the key. i am sure Ohio State is solid too.

Any of those and probably a few more could end up being the best group in the county by the end. Let’s be totally honest, luck with injuries etc will probably decide who ends up being considered the best group overall. Not just to DL but injuries to LB, DB, Safety etc can all greatly impact a defense. Look at bama last year, as talented as anyone but injuries really kept them from putting it all together though-out the year. That and predicted problems at offensive line cost them the Natty.

We are just excited to have a potential LSU like defense under a Focused and competent coaching staff and expecting good things.

We will see…..
