I do think he made the jump too soon and should’ve stuck with FAU another year.

Nah, Lane is, at the end of the day, an experiment.
He got fired from his last SEC coordinator gig. He’ll have the opportunity to prove himself at OM.

You are completely talking out your arse here. They have at least double the fan support that Ole Miss has.
They are fair weather fans like Miami is.

I don’t know if I’ve seen a poster be so blatantly wrong about so many things in a 2 page thread. it’s pretty impressive.

Way less so than Ole Miss.
It’s clear you’ve never been to the greater DC metro area.

I’m talking about from a “path to championship” standpoint. They are in a weak ACC division.

A solid coach could have them in the ACC title game nearly every year.

What am I wrong about? Are you going to argue that Lane didn’t get fired?

That Ole Miss is not his first SEC HC gig?

Not on a regular basis. I'm aware of how much support VA Tech has but they aren't near as die hard as they were in the 90s-mid 2000s

Because their football program is not great right now, which is why I caveated “if it gets off the ground”. A confident head coach would head there in a heartbeat. All it would take is a stellar season to open the pockets up.

Glad to see you take a break from the Tuscaloosa name.
I see Mike Leach still has you triggered since he ruined LSU’s season? I hope we’re your first SEC game in 2021 :)
