Eh. Auburn-UF is more like UGA-Clemson. Lot of history there but not much crossover lately.

Our younger fans tend to have FSU as our #1 rival. I try to educate them when I can.
I'm with you. Nothing gets a coach shitcanned faster than losing to GT.
That is the most important rivalry because it is the most costly to lose.
As for Dawg fans (this is a big state), those in Dalton hate Tennessee.
Those in Columbus hate Auburn.
Those in Statesboro hate Florida.
Those in Albany hate FSU.
Those in Augusta hate Scar.
Those in Hartwell hate Clemson.
Those downtown hate GT.
Georgia covers too much border territory for the hate to be simple.

Notre dame has more rivalries than any other cfb team and it isn't even close.

Huh? When did we become rivals? I mean it's an important divisional game that often winds up being one of the better games of the year but I don't consider it a rivalry game.

State only has 2 rivals. Ole Miss in most sports and LSU in baseball. MSU-Alabama used to have somewhat of a rivalry in basketball, but that's probably all gone.

GT for Georgia is like an annual game of Auburn vs. UCF....what’s the upside? It’s endlessly annoying if you lose, which is thankfully rare.
Florida is Georgia’s biggest and most important rival and they have been since the day Tech left the SEC and stopped taking football seriously. They may not be #1 on everybody’s list...but they are top 2 on everybody’s list.
Auburn was once a cordial rivalry....as much as an SEC rivalry can be. Most GA fans have them 3 ish now. After that it’s any combination of UT, SC, Clemson.

In 2011 LSU played Arkansas while they were ranked no. 3 I believe. So, a top 5 matchup. Had Arkansas won, there would have been a 3 way tie for no. 1 with Arkansas beating LSU, LSU beating Alabama, and Alabama beating Arkansas. Plus they would have been ranked no. 2 going into championship weekend.

1. South Carolina- we didn’t have a rivalry with them in the past, but it has been pretty even this century, and it is also a border rivalry
How old are you diddy?

Arkansas, South Carolina, Texas A&M, and Mizzou have not been in the SEC long enough to have a real rivalry anyone cares about.
lulz ... UGA and SC have played 63 times.
Name your other SEC rivals that you have played more than SC other than Auburn and Florida.
Oh, and SC and Arkansas have been in the SEC longer than was Ga Tech.

UGA & SC have played 70 times.
It’s a much bigger rivalry for East GA Dawg fans...Augusta particularly.
It’s not as big of a rivalry historically because of the lopsided results, though there have been some big games.

No they don't especially with the ACC taking up half their schedule. They don't play Michigan on a yearly basis and have dropped Purdue for the time being.
Navy?C'mon,it's one of the most lopsided series in the country and it's not like they go after the same recruits.
That leaves you with Michigan State,Stanford and USC.Yea technically they're rivals but 2 of those schools are halfway across the country.
Having your rival on a boarder state makes its far more intense. You have to recruit against these schools
in the off season and fans from each school interact all year round.

Agreed ... we have the whole Border War celebration on the river every year.

In the past 40 years UGA leads the series what, 24-14 with an average point difference of 3 pts in the series?
We didn't play in 90 or 91.
Most fans are not old enough to remember farther back than that.
