NCAA.com recognizes a split National Championship in 1978. They do the same for 2003. Doubt you have the skills to research or comprehend that since most of you L8U fricktards somehow operate at ~83 IQ points.

And yet Bama is insecure enough to fight tooth and nail justify national titles that nobody else on earth thinks they deserve.

I believe the phrase is "act like you've been there before", not "pretend like you've been there way more times than you have".

Alabama 1964 claim

These national title trophies are on campus as well, not in Ark.

Voters also remember Bama getting robbed in 1977.

This had very little to do with it. The same voters who robbed Alabama in '77 were the ones who anointed us national champions in '78.

What blows my mind was the argument put forth by Notre Dame's Dan Devine at the time. In 1977, after his fifth-ranked Irish had upset #1 Texas in the Cotton Bowl, he was able to sway voters with his argument that the team that beat #1 should be #1.

That very next year, as a voter in the Coaches Poll, he voted USC #1 despite the fact that Alabama had beaten #1 Penn State in the Sugar Bowl. Total hypocrite.

1966 was the worst miscarriage of justice. Would have been 3 in a row.

'77 would have led to 3 in a row with '78 &'79.

Factor in mulligans and the constant cheating they do in Tuscaloser Alabama has yet to actually win a legitimate national championship.

1941 National Championship- This is a complete joke. The AP ranked Alabama 20th in the nation with 14 teams with better records in the top 20. Once again it is the Football Thesaurus that retroactively awards it. Alabama finished 3rd in the SEC that year. Mississippi State won the SEC title..yet Bama claims a National title!

I have always said MSU should claim '41, one thing for certain is Bama should not, as a side note most teams skipped bowls that year (only 5 played) due to a incident on the 7th of December, two notables that did not were Bama and Aggie who met in the Cotton Bowl.

And that Cotton Bowl was one of the weirdest games in the history of football. Alabama had one first down and 75 total yards in that game, yet won by a score of 29-21.

Pretty embarrassing.

Is that why Notre Dame beat Bammer on the field?

This really nails it on the head.

They “were there” but refused “to act like they’ve been there before.”

You don’t see LSU, Florida, Georgia or auburn doing this. Just Alabama and atm. Birds of a feather.
