Justin Britt started all 16 games at RT (his rookie year) for The Seahawks last year. He was a two star

The star ranking thing is largely bullshite. It is highly subjective and it doesn't take into account character or the ability to transition to college.
Some 5-stars think they can coast through college on talent alone and don't develop to their potential. Some 1 and 2-stars come into college with a chip on their shoulder after not being recruited much. They work harder and develop into players that equal or surpass those higher ranked recruits.
That said, if a team is consistently recruiting 5-stars they'll have more hits than misses.

Our starter was a 5*, sorry, but our backup LT was a 2*.. but he's an "underrated" "diamond in the rough" who is "football smart" and "scrappy"
Scrappy - meaning small and slow, from the latin scrapeous, which is what one has to do to the bottom of the barrel when one has open scholarship slots at the end of recruiting season

Actually he's 6'6" 290, so not small. I just looked up his profile and he was 3* by signing day, but was really only ranked so low because he was 250 coming out of HS and didn't go to camps

Chris Capps was a former two star. But RT. Was front and center for the sack party of Brodie Croyle against Auburn in 2005.

It's a pretty light year for us. We are only starting 1 2*. He's going to be one of the top DE in the conference and play on Sunday's though.
Harold Brantley was also a 2*

Also Zandi was a 3* by both Rivals and 247sports. Dixon Jr. was also. His half-brother DE Dixon was a 2* per 247sports, but a high 3* per Rivals....
