He had 73 yards last season compared to 1322 for Knile Davis.
I don't mind when LSU makes legitimate claims of having something better than Arkansas but when you just plain make shite up it gets a little ridiculous.
Are you just upset that Davis put a buck fifty on LSU last season?

And what has Petrino done that makes him so much better than Nutt?
1 - 1 = your credibility.

He won 10 games this year and got you to the Sugar Bowl.
In just his THIRD season at Arkansas, in one of the toughest divisions in the HISTORY of college football!

He built a rep at Louisville and the schedule and competition there was laughable.
3 coaches have taken two different teams to BCS Bowls. Saban did it with LSU and Bama, Meyer did it with Gators and Utah, Petrino did it with Arkansas and Louisville. Out of those three, which one had the toughest road? That's a rhetorical question.
BTW, Petrino's 1-1 in BCS games.

The next best QB in the SEC:
The last time I heard this came in the form of 1 John Brantley. Hell the one time we were able to stop Arky's offense was against this guy, including a pick 6.

I think when you look at him versus Saban, Miles and now Chizick your going to see the sham that he has built his persona to be. Good luck never winning a title with him.
this is an abortion of a post

He's the ONLY SEC coach to ever get to a BCS Bowl without having a top10 recruiting class in one of the three years prior to the BCS Bowl. THe ONLY one in 18 SEC teams that have made it to a BCS bowl. That's a hell of a job coaching. Not a solid job, a spectacular job. He was 41-9 at Louisville. That is a spectacular record. Did they play the best schedule? Nope, but then again, they didn't have the best talent either.
Arkansas is on the upswing, with that will come better recruits, that's just the way it is. No we will NEVER get the recruits that LSU gets, that's just a matter of geography. We will however get better talent than we've been getting and with that Petrino will win more than he's been winning.
No used to acting the fool and pretending Petrino isn't a great coach.

He is also the ONLY SEC coach to lose to Ohio State in a bowl game.

One game , as opposed to his accomplishments over the long haul. I might as well say hey see he won the Orange Bowl at UL proves he's the greatest coach ever, no it doesn't , but it does prove he's damn good at his job.

Arky ...where beating LSU > losing to OSU = reason never win anything really special

In the history of football, no other team/fanbase has received more shite for losing by less than a TD to a top 5 team that is 23-3 (I believe) over the past two seasons.
I'm just glad Arkansas fans don't have to latch on to one single game that didn't involve our team in order to maintain our sense of pride.

Great point. But I guess if Arkansas fans can get so excited about a new quarterback than we can too.
Next Heisman Trophy winner! No one can beat LSU now!

Agreed. Since 2005 Ohio State is 66-11, behind ONLY Boise St in terms of winning percentage at 85.7% and Petrino loses to them in year 3 at Arkansas by less than a TD , while they were using players who we all know should have been ineligible but that's another thread altogether, and some act like Petrino and Arkansas should hang their heads and act like we suck and have no business being proud of where our program is headed?
Laughable.

What are the chances he gets the nod over JJ?

No idea. There's a possibility that he may be starting by the end of the year. Its hard to know what to expect with a new OC. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets some starts later in the year, or is at least having getting some playing time. But my point was it makes no sense saying an unproven quarterback is the next best QB in the SEC. I have no idea how good Mett will be.

I somewhat understand LSU fans pulling it out on us, since we beat them for the Sugar Bowl bid and what do you expect from butthurt corndogs.
But when USCE fans start chiming in, I just .
