Eh. The fact that Drink turned them down and took our offer will forever stick in their craw. Drink chose us despite being an Arkansan and instead they ended up with Pittman.

The results have been clear.

Won 11 games with the #8 SoR and best OOC win for the SEC in ‘23.

Why are Arkansas fans so quick to try to diminish anything good Drink does with untrue bullshite.

Whoo Hoo! You play shitty non conference teams and have one of the weakest SEC schedules every year.

The transfer portal rule change and NIL started soon after that so so start. Key situation happened transfer rule change and NIL made Mizzou football team more competitive. Before that not very many 4* and 5* HS recruits and 4* and 5* transfer portal players. This is why we are seeing a lot more lesser teams becoming competitive.

First of all, this isn't really true. And secondly, even the weakest SEC schedule is really tough. I saw one preseason strength of schedule preseason ranking this year and yeah, Mizzou's schedule was 16th in the SEC by that system. It was also 20th in the country. So, four teams outside the SEC had a tougher schedule than the "easiest" one in the SEC and about 115 teams had weaker schedules.

So, being 23-5 in the last two plus years is still legit, IMO. If Mizzou would have scheduled, say, Ohio State (oh wait...beat them), maybe Oregon or Penn State the last two years and lost both times, that would still give them a 21-7 record over that span which = 0.750, all the while playing in the SEC.

Mizzou beat TN and K State in 2023. Those were the only good teams.

Ohio St didn’t give a shite about that Cotton Bowl some kid Kienholz played QB.

That’s all fine and well but everyone outside the state of Mizzorah knows y’all are irrelevant.

Literally good at nothing. Well I did lose my virginity in Branson at Silver Dollar City. One of those glass blowing gals couldn’t keep her gnarled fingers off me.

Mizz spent some money and basically has the entire state to themselves. To recruit from.

So being ranked high at the end of the bowl games didn't matter too? It does matter. Why did you think OSU went al l out the following year and that got them to win a championship?

Dammit Rambo, I’ve explained before that by contract I’m required to harass your program a prescribed number of times per month. Nothing personal.

Drink is a huge dork, but he can recruit and he can coach.

Mizzou doesn’t have nearly the talent geographically that most of the SEC schools have and it’s not an easy place to win.

Mizzou was a mess when he arrived. Odom did not recruit well.

He’s a little putz but I have to hand it to the guy.

Kinda scary to think of him getting ahold of a school that has ample recruits in its state.

It'll come if he keeps winning. But let's be honest, Drink has decided he'd rather pay players who have already shown something in CFB than give bags to college freshmen who may or may not ever show something. And he's done a remarkable job at it, especially this past off-season.

He wasn't lying when he said this is his most talented roster to date and it starts with Beau Pribula, Ahmad Hardy, Kevin Coleman, Josiah Trotter and Damon WIlson - all elite transfers.

Missouri has never had a recruiter as good as Eli Drinkwitz. And he's finally getting his own QB recruits and is shed of the Connor Bazalak / Brady Cook types he inherited who were limited. Gary Pinkel won a shite ton of games at Mizzou due to always having a good to great QBs in the pipeline and Drink's got that going now. It's a great time to be a Tiger!

Missouri has never spent the amount they have. It has nothing to do with Dorkwitz and his recruiting.

31 million to barely beat a shitty Kansas team at home is fantastic though.

I think they're solid. Probably an 8-4 type team this year. Their DL is pretty darn good (in the top 20 for TFL so far this year.) Very disruptive.

LOL- yeah that was a juggernaut with no top five wide receiver playing and on the third string QB and missing two starting offensive linemen. Congrats on that Super Bowl
