Does A&M still beat Bama if Bama doesn't play LSU the week before?

I say an emphatic no. I don't believe A&M fans realize just how big of a help it was to get Bama after their hardest game all season to date.
So, if that game is played at any other point would the results be the same?
I think Kevin Sumlin and Johnny should have thanked Les Miles for helping with their magical season. All hope was lost after the rout in College Station only to be helped by that same team later down the line.

Yes. I was just surprised bama only lost by 10 or 11 or whatever it was. A&M was on the verge of a 30+ point blowout in that game.

This. A&M punted twice the entire game. Twice. A&M only punted the ball two times. Two. I repeat. A&M. Punted. Twice. Also, Barret Jones got away with about 300 holding calls. That game was not as close as the score indicated

Why not. They weren't suffering from a ton of injuries and fatigue shouldn't be a problem in the 1st qtr. Manziel played lights out and Bama didn't bring their A game til it was too late.

The real question is does LSU stand a chance against A&M if they play them later in the year.

Actually punted three times, Bama punted four times.

That is a much better question. A&M was going to spank Bama during the second half of the season no matter what. A&M was playing better than any team in the country down the stretch.
So, answer to the LSU question is probably, though it would be close. LSU had a better secondary and pass rush than bama this year.

Yet, Bama would've won had they not called 4 passes with 1st and goal at the 6.

The loss was meaningless in the grand scheme. Who cares.

True to an extent, but it still pisses me off.

Should have been 30. Refs are the only thing that kept bama in the game.

Let's be honest. This year's Texas A&M team would have lost by 3+ TDs to last year's LSU and Alabama teams. There's no way the Texas A&M offense would have moved the ball as well as they did against last year's Alabama defense. And if Johnny Manziel couldn't take care of the football against this year's LSU team, imagine what last year's LSU team with the Honey Badger and Morris Claiborne would have done to him. There really were no juggernaut defenses like there have been in years past except for maybe Florida and they completely shut down Manziel.
