And in all honesty our defense allowed UT to run all over them in the second half.

Yeah that's right. They "allowed" them to, as if it's a special honor to be given that right.

Kiffin should have never put that dude back in to kick after the first block. Bama deserved to win it because Kiffin had a brain fart.

I feel like I can take a lot of words in these 2 statements and replace them with some words from a game this past November.

The only reason UT was still in the game was because Ingram fumbled while trying to get an extra yard when we were trying to run out the clock.

This. Everyone forgets this. We were up 12-3 and had the ball with a couple minutes left to play in the game. Had Ingram held onto that ball there would have been no last minute drama in that game.

So those 17 future NFL players coached themselves up then, did they? How many of those players would have even gotten a shot at the NFL with Saban as their head coach? I know a few from Alabama who wouldn't have sniffed the NFL if not for Saban.

Oh, we sucked donkey balls - do you know who we had as coach?

The same guy who's getting sucked off in this thread as being the GOAT?

Redemption is a bitch - his team sucked arse his first year and then went on reel in a 48-6 record over the next 4 years and brought home 2 NC's.

Saban is not the GOAT - but he ain't too shabby either.

I'd take anything over baseball, but I would love for us to get a NCAA hockey team.

Saban isn't the greatest of all time but he is definitely Top 10. There are only a handful of coaches who have won 3+ national titles. The last three coaches to win 3+ I believe wereTom Osborne, Barry Switzer and Bear Bryant. I would put all three of those in the Top 10.

This could would have saved 13 pages of a shitty dick-measuring thread.

True, but that doesn't change the fact that our defense that game didn't not play well. Jonathan Crompton had a good game against our D.

And proud of it! Another mark for Saban! Although,,, Bama was not as far removed in the Shula years, as lsu was in the 90's...

FWIW, in my eyes Bear Bryant is the GOAT with no close second.

Oh, I know. I was at the game. I remember being very tense throughout most of the second half. I believe our defense was on the field for all but three minutes of the third quarter. Our offense was anemic and our defense eventually wore down because of it.

Even then, they only had 74 yards rushing, but they had well over 200 through the air.
