Where was LSU prior to the arrival of Saban? Did LSU even make more than a brief appearance in the top 25 in the 90's?
The 12th most winningest college football program
you might want to pay attention to the last part of my question!

It's a good thing you have football because LSU has dominated Bama in baseball and has had far more success in the NCAA basketball tournament. Face it: Bama's athletic dept is shite compared to LSU's. What is 43 national titles to 17.
It's a shite ton less than 17. LSU's 43 doesn't include football because the NCAA doesn't recognize football national champions.
But let's save the total athletic department threads for a different day. I don't want to see them blow a gasket over it now.

Even if Alabama had a good baseball team I wouldn't care about it. And this is an alumnus talking. College baseball is nothing like college basketball or college football because most college baseball players won't ever even SNIFF the minors, let alone the majors. And even though LSU has a better tournament history in basketball we still have more overall wins. The only SEC team that has won more in basketball than Alabama is Kentucky.
And the reason why the rest of our athletic program seems mediocre to you is because we have devoted the vast majority of our time and resources to football. That's the only thing the students, alumni, and fans care about.

Yeah, you'd think a "dynasty" shouldn't have to rely on an upset no one saw coming to even get them to the national title game. You'd think a "dynasty" would take care of business when the ball is in their court
This coming from the fanbase that managed to fall into a BCSNCG with 2 losses

All right, page 10, let's go for 20. Here's my question: If LSU wins 11/3 will it be:
A. Fluke
B. Hibernation time
C. We got robbed
D.
Never mind, there is no option D. I'm voting A.

Doesn't matter, let eachprogram take care of it's own. Me, I hope CLM keeps doing the deal till 2020 or so and LSU sets its own standard. What ButthurtNation and the Cheerio kids both overlook is that Coach Saban, with probably the GOAT defense and a slightly better O due to QB play, got beat in T Town. This is what gives me optimism.
Not only this but in 2010 Saban had the entire 2011 defense , a first rd wr(Julio), first rd de(marcel),first rd and Heisman winning rb( Ingram), and a senior qb whom had already won a national title and he lost three games. Including blowing a 24 point lead ,AT HOME, to his main rival( had that been Miles , the media would've been all over his arse). As good as Saban is( best in football) he isn't perfect and does have flaws.

And you might want to pay attention to your original post when you said "LSU back from the bottom dwellers of college football, (not just the SEC)".
You'd think the "bottom dwellers of college football" would be a hell of a lot lower than 12th on the list of all time wins in college football.

I do not have the energy to read this vagina of a thread, but no Nick Saban will not be the most dominate coach. First Bama is not winning the National Title this year! Yeah, Yeah, Blah ,Blah, be sure to bump this thread after Les beats his arse three years in a row in regular season! 2nd Barry Switzer lost 7 games in a decade! Seven! Nobody will ever do that again! Now, start the Usuall Bama circle jerk, 14&counting, and bona Fide will be the disposal coordinators for ya!

Thanks for the newsflash. I'll let Jesus know that he is still the only perfect being to have ever walked this earth.

holy fricking shite......what a complete and total idiot......unbelievable.....I'm really done with you...the ignorance level with you in this thread is through the roof. There are a lot of bama fans that while arrogant, sound intelligent. You are not one of them. You are more like an arkansas fan. Wow. good luck kid.

FIFY.
I never said LSU didn't rely on luck too to play in the big dance, but the thing is, we're not claiming to be a fricking dynasty when have 2 BCS titles just like 2 other schools.

He did? A decade equals 10 years. From 1973-1983 he lost 21 games. Now from 1973-1980 he lost only 7 games. Is that what you are referring to?

yeah...as compared to a team that could not win its own division, much less its own conference, and had to rely on a team like iowa state to beat OSU in order to even get a mulligan. lol At least LSU won the most dominant conference in america......unbelievable that an alabama fanbase would talk about LSU lucking out and backing into the 2007 NC...after what happened for them in 2011....wow.

Which is still second to the top prize in college football. I hope 2012 works out better for you, bro.

Well 14&counting has just 14. I think Bonafide has about 20. Somehow LSU's 03 and 07 plus some others got incorporated into UA lore.

He should probably try to win the SEC West first.
