No.

In no particular order these jobs are more prestigious than Auburn.

Ohio State
Michigan
Alabama
Texas
Oklahoma
Notre Dame
Stanford....for the moment
USC
Florida State
Miami
Penn State...stretching it maybe
LSU

I look at it like this, would a coach leave his current job to coach at AU? I would say 95% of coaches would certainly leave their current job to coach at an SEC powerhouse. In fact, I can only think of 7 to 10 place that may be better. So, that puts them firmly in the top 10 imo.

With that said, frick Tennessee!

9. A&M
10 Okla
11. Auburn

It's debatable so maybe auburn is a top 10 job

Stanford is no definite. An argument can be made but I would rank AU slightly above. They just have longer term success and a much stronger fan base and program toward football. Plus they have actually won a NC recently.

It is easily top 10, no doubt about it.

No HC in the past 65 years has wanted to leave AU once hired.

Well I don't know if I'd say there's NO DOUBT about it. There are 10 other schools who have quite a compelling case to be above auburn

And like I said, it's been since the 30s a coach at UGA has left for another school.

Jesus Christ what is up with Bama fans? I really can't recall Tubs being enshrined after pulling 6 in a row. Hell, he almost got back doored out of a job. It's like you guys just imagine this shite.

Wasn't Tubs going to be fired if he lost to Bama in 2002?
Wasn't it the Alabama game that saved Tubs and got him a new contract?
Wasn't it the Alabama win the reason you guys couldn't hire (jetgate) BMFP b/c the fan base backed Tubs b/c of his victory over the Tide??

Didn't read the whole thread. Hell it may be longer than since 1950 a HC has voluntarily left AU for another job.

Fact is coaches come to AU and never entertain any other positions. Doesn't matter who comes calling. Maybe even a top 5 job considering the quality of life aspect.
