First, it is a subjective question.
Take bama for instance. Several coaches have left bama because they didn't want to be there anymore for various reasons. That alone makes me say AU job > bama job. Football isn't everything, even for a HC. Other things matter too. Could point out why USC is not a "better" job than AU. I've been to their campus and it sorta sucks. Plenty of people would prefer living in AU to LA.
And AU is a top program. So when you are comparing top programs and saying what is the best job overall, other things matter too.
Bottom line, it is subjective when you define top job to be everything about the job and the quality of life for the HC.

Please elaborate.
The key factor for all coaches is ability to succeed. There are different factors affecting each of the three of those programs listed.
For example, Notre Dame has recruiting difficulties because Indiana blows for talent. They are stuck traveling nationally to visit recruits. Also, Notre Dame's administration is a pain in the arse (a/k/a not friendly to athletics).

So by comparison, are you saying Green Bay is not a top NFL job? Or Denver?

Disadvantaged geographically recruiting-wise;
Cuz everyone knows Ohio has some shitty HS football. What planet do you live on? You do realize Auburn competes with Bama for the same in state recruits? tOSU has no competition other than Cincy.

Not in the SEC
No shite. Does that make Mississippi State a better job than tOSU?

in the Big-10 (currently not prestigious).
It's a BCS conference. SEC basketball is garbage. Does that make Kentucky a shitty job?

Not even apples to oranges. That's apples to roast beef.
College kids don't get paid millions to freeze their asses off and be 1,000s of miles away from mama.

Stanford is a sweet job, no way in hell it is better than Auburn or any comparable major sport school gig. Unless you simply want a competitive program and no national recognition among anyone but folks nearby and mega CFB fans.
Miami absolutely blows and is not prestigious. It doesn't pay either and there is no fan support. FSU is a stretch, but I wouldn't argue it too hard.
PSU won't be a coveted job for a while. Crappy state, dying region, dying conference. Oh, yeah, child rape scandal.

I will give you this. Of the top jobs in or near the top 10, Ohio State is the hardest to read, so you could be right.

Tennessee is not a bigger job than Oklahoma... Oklahoma is a top 3 or 4 all time program...

Auburn is a different culture, they are a very tight knit group and when they say it's very Family oriented, that' true. They are very devout folks, they are salt of the earth kind of people.
Some of my best friends are Aubs, I know day or night they'd be there for me and my family it I needed them.

I'd say Au is a top 15 job for sure and possibly in the top ten.
Not sure how I would rank them but the top jobs IMO would be a mix of these schools. In no order;
Bama
Au
UF
UGA
USCw
LSU
UTx2
FSU
Mich
TOSU
Notre Dame
OU
UCLA
Those are the premiere programs for college football.

This. And it's not even close.

Oklahoma is not and will never be back to where they once were, now that we are getting the recruits from Texas that are ours by right. OU used to be a leach on this state's talent, but that tie has been severed and Bob Stoops knows it.

Didn't Switzerl even say ok, will never be what they once were, ever again?
Posted on 10/24/13 at 5:10 pm to KaiserSoze99
no outside coach will want to coach at Alabama after saban.
Posted on 10/24/13 at 5:10 pm to NYCAuburn
Did he? He might have, but it should be obvious to everyone that A&M moving to the SEC absolutely destroyed OU's recruiting pitch.

Yes. They were Big Twatever co-champs last year and look at their recruiting. It's the conference factor. Oklahoma no longer has the ability to compete on a national level because they get no national exposure. The only national game they get is the one they play in Dallas every year.
