Do you really win a NC if you win the NC but don't win your conference?

Need you to come out on the record and say what you think.
To me, an SEC Championship without a NC is only a step better if you win the SEC Tourney in basketball but don't win the NC in the NCAA Tourney.
So, 7SU and Auburn fans ask yourselves if you won the NC but didn't win the SEC, would you give the NC trophy back?

Pretty sure the scoreboard at the end of the national Championship game says yes. The big ole trophy in your trophy case seems to back this up, too.

I suppose winning a NC is a good consolation prize for not being able win your division or conference.

That leads me to ask... should you be required to beat all the rest of the 120+ teams in Div I before you are given the NC title? If you don't, should you give the NC trophy back?

We have just won our 17th NC and you and a couple of other knuckledraggers who claim to be Bama fans give the rest of us a bad name.
