Assuming you handle business against ASU, if you beat Oregon/Ohio State I will concede that Texas is a good team.

It wouldn’t be that impressive.

CLemson is STILL the only OOC ranked team that the SEC has beaten this year.

The question is, how many losses do you have to a top 5 team? 2, but they're both to the same team.

If this happens, we would be the most indisputable, most legitimate champion of all time.

Texas needs to be pulling for Oregon. They don't want to face Ohio State's defense. They'll shutdown Texas' offense like Georgia did.

I don't know.
If UGA wins out, they'd end up having been 7-0 against playoff teams this year. They wouldn't have beaten all the other major conference champions, but would have beaten the runner up from the SEC (at least twice) and probably the runner up from the Big 10 as well as potentially the ACC and Big 10 champion and would BE the SEC champion.
to be honest anyone who wins the playoff will have either beaten all the other champions or beaten teams who beat the other champions through some transitive chain. I think whoever it is can probably claim to be the most legitimate champion of all time.

Clemson and South Carolina both have the same number of SEC losses, 3.
