Florida just put nets up for the first time this past season. I can't remember if it was just the south endzone though. I think someone got hit in the face and complained or something like that

This guy has the Auburn Spirit in his ring.

arrested? because an intoxicated college student threw the opposing teams football out of the stadium?

Yea, that video is definitely of an early season game during warm ups. Stupid Freshman no knowing protocol

They've tried. The student section doesn't allow it.

SC has the Allstate net in the south endzone, I don't think it has one in the north endzone where the students are?
I know they've thrown some footballs out of the stadium, but it isn't a tradition or an expected thing to do.

We've been doing it since at least the late nineties. When we beat bama in 97 the goalposts almost went over the side.

Nah, it didn't really start happening on a regular basis until probably 2006/2007. I'm sure it happened before, but it didn't really become a thing until mid 2000's.

that makes for a nice competitive advantage if the wind is blowing right. Taking away practice kicks on that end

When Penn State came to TTown in 2010, we didnt have nets in the endzone. During warmups, one of several balls was kicked into the greek section. One particular ball has thrown back into the field of play by some fratstar with a laser rocket arm. The ball proceeded to drill Joe Paterno squarely in the head who was coming out of the visitors tunnel down and to the left of the greek endzone heading towards the away sideline. Joe Pa was 85. This of course was all before the SHIF up there. I feel it was a little divine intervention that the ball found its way to Joe Pa's noggin.
Roll Tide.

You are right 2010. My mistake.

Those were both boring games.
Nick could have poured on the scoring, but didn't out of respect for Joe and the Penn State program.
I think that rivalry should be re-resurrected.

Tennessee does not. The fans catch and throw the ball back to the field personnel.
