Dont know what to make of this guy. There's been times where Ive said he's damn good and gonna be a problem to play against, and there's been times where I wonder if he can really even play the position. I kind of dont thin he's the guy but I know I could be wrong about that.

He should go to James Madison and reunite with Coach Slingblade.

He and Jackson Arnold will still fleece some school for at least a million to go be an average QB somewhere.

I think this move benefits both the player and the school.
Lagway has the talent and the goods to deliver. A new location will probably do him some good.
As for the school, they (staff/fans) have moved on from him.

It’s hard to say how much of his regression this year was due to the shitty coaching and play calling vs Lagway just being overhyped.
All I know is he was not good this year and has a ridiculous NIL contract being the 4th highest paid player in the NCAA.

100% agree.
It wouldn't be fair to Sumrall and Faulkner to force him on them in year one. They need to be able to go get their own guy to build around. It didn't work well for Bama last year with Milroe. You can't hold a coaching staff hostage like that.
It's also not fair to DJ to not promise him the starting job when he is looking to go pro next year when there are a ton of other schools that will promise him the job.
He has the tools to be great. Hopefully he does it in the Big12 somewhere that he doesn't have to face us

Done with Lagway. Too much hype with too little results.
Get the GT QB A..Philo and another from the portal.

I also have no idea, and completely mixed feelings about him leaving.
Had such a good first year, but then got basically no practice due to injuries. He was bad this year. Was it the lack of practice? Is he just not good? Who knows.

Still an amazing screenshot.

Had such a good first year,
He did good for a true freshman but was nothing warranting the hype he got

28 TDs, 22 Ints for a career.

Well yeah, that's obviously what I'm saying. I wasn't saying dude put up Tebow soph. stats in year 1.
You could look at that first year and say "he's only going to get better from here" but nope, he got worse.

Nice of you to spot him an INT, he was 28/23

The atrocious footwork leading to inaccurate passing this year was baffling.

Also the #1 "dual threat" QB had an under 2YPC career here and looked like a wet sock any time he ran.
Hope he turns it around, but I'm afraid the injuries and Billy Napier might have ruined him.

All things considered its a good move for both parties.
DJ is clearly regressed and he would be met with massive scrutiny. I could see Sumrall moving him down in the depth chart. If anything the new ball coach has shown that he is serious about winning and will not take into consideration any feelings.
Also I don't think DJ has the trust of the locker room anymore. He's checked out and his leadership style (if any) mirrors CBN.
JMU would be a good place for him to springboard his status again and Florida can get rid of the biggest bust since JaMarcus to the Raiders.
